Besides having sort of been skimmed by with "Vice City," I hace a hard time believing they can make something all that fun out of the movie.

the potential is there but it can easily be derailed if it's not of the same caliber as Vice city

I understand that. I'm just saying that GTA: vice city could be considered the scarface game since the plot had so many similarities with the movie.

nope I don't like the sound of this at all, I think tampering like classics like this shouldn't be done, a game couldn't recreate the atmosphere of the protagonist just losing it completely, like it's already been said GTA:VC done a great job of recreating Scarface (down to the soundtrack); unless it offered some freeform new plotlines:
