Scarface:worst console game ever

:frown: For the sake of Bi***ing, I can't stand Scarface:The World is Yours for the following reasons: #1 Whenever I decorate my mansion with things i've bought and leave,all my possesions dissapear and must be rebought,or in the case of Unique Collectibles,can never be bought again.#2 Its buggy as hell.Textures dissapear and missions constantly screw up and must be restarted. #3 I repeatedly have to do $100,000 deals when I have had $250,000 deals unlocked forever. #4 The stat/price ratio of the vehicles are extremely unbalanced. I buy a 23,000 attack boat with a machine gun, then I buy a $1,000,000 racing boat which is almost slower than the attack boat,only holds one person,has weak armor, and lacks a machine gun(wtf?). #5 You get better drug deals if your gang heat is low, but to access these deals you have to do a mission that raises your gang heat. #6 The missions are so repetitive its ridiculous! Go kill these guys,drive your car here, Go kill those guys BORING! #7 The repetitive use of catch phrases from the movie! If I never hear the word Tiger, You wanna play rough, you die motha f****, or the word Ice cream again it will be to soon! #8 Its impossible to put things where you want them in your mansion. All you can do is spin the object in circles and only 4 rooms in the whole mansion can be decorated or even walked in for that matter. #9 After saving his ass, Sandman offers to sell you his Cocaine plantation, in a cinematic,it ends, and you cant buy it. #10 Your a multi-millionare who can only have one henchman with him at a time and does every bit of dirty work by himself(including taking on 2,000 men at Sosa's mansion).

Wow, you must really dislike this game!

I've played it, was it worth the purchase: hell no. Was it the worst console game ever?: again, hell no. It was entertaining for a few hours, then it just got boring.

The story, which was writting by a "professional hollywood script writer" bordered on average. All in all, it was not worth the $50 I spent on it. But then, very few games are, for me.

I liked it. The reason you can only do $100,000 deals is because you don't have enough money to buy the drugs for the $250,000 deals. The controls were good, the buying system was good, and the drug trafficking/city takeover was very fun. Good game. I never encountered the bugs you did and I thought the vehicles were fairly well balanced.

A lot of your complaints seem to center around decorating your mansion, which really isn't a big deal. It's just a shitty little extra feature thrown in, I barely even touched it. That's like saying San Andreas sucks because you don't like the pool minigame. Only thing I agree with you about is that it makes pretty terrible use of the license, pretty much butchers the original movie.

I didn't enjoy the game either. It's not the worse, but I feel it ranks pretty far down there. I think it gave Scarface a bad name. The game had alot of potential, I thought. But they took alot of shortcuts, and just all in all tried to make the game as GTA-esque as possible to appeal to the masses, it seems. This could have been the game people talked about instead of Vice City, IMHO, if they did it right...
