Scariest Sound?

More than likely there was no sound. Alternatively, it was highly pornographic, which would raise the rating.

Just listened to each via GCF scape. It's a lot of screaming very similar to the sounds the HL2 zombies make when on fire. I'm pretty sure that might be what it was originally meant to be- perhaps the HL2 zombie sound was based off of it.

It's like a million zombies screaming at once (including female ones)

I imagine hell might sound like this.

I remember hearing a loud woman scream over at my farm, it sounded a lot like described banshee screams. I was scared shitless.

Yeah, it's like a wheezing/heavy breathing kinda thing. Disturbing. And yeah, the Kathoga was a guy that had transformed into that creture.

There's another disturbing sound that I've heard before but I don't want to mention it here because people might go looking for it and regret seeing/hearing it. I know I do. :( If you think you can handle extreme stuff, PM me and I'll tell you or point you in the right direction.

Scary noises are entirely situational.

I.e the noise of a tiger roaring in a zoo isn't that scary, cute even.
If you heard the same noise, right next to your ear whilst camping out in africa bushland it would prob be the most scary thing you could ever hear.

There was a really really really freaky mp3 i had on my computer a while ago and i can't for the life of me figure out where its from, but its the sound of static and people screaming and one girl in particular is screaming so ****ing much. Creeps the shit outta me.

If i find it i'll post it.

in the hl2 folder in the citadel carpet there is another creepy sound too

Go ahead and PM me, and tell me what it is, whileyour at it..... I gotta know before I look for it. I may end up regretting that.

The Stalker had some ****ed up noises, especially it's alert sound..... Ohhhhh God imagine a cat, and a conglamoration of other ****ed up noises formed into a loud screech.
 
This sounds like M Night Shamalan BS to me. Anyone else catch the special about him on the sci fi chanel? It was complete crap.

I kinda feel dirty even talking about it. You remember those beheadings that were taking place in Iraq? While each one is atrocious, there's one that tears at your core. It's the one with a guy from Nepal. After they cut his head off, you can hear him trying to breath through his severed throat. It's disgusting. My advice: don't give in to your curiosity. I made that mistake.

I already watched that video a long time ago,you could hear the gurgling as they cut through his throat,what really appaled me was they were sawing at his throat but the edge wasnt even serated,ouch.savages!

I think the theory was, nihilanth was taunting you, and saying that you couldn't defeat him all by yourself, but yours could make sense, I guess....

EDIT: oh, hey, I've got a good contender, try being by yourself in a house at ten at night and have something outside nearby scream "Meow" really loud. I say something, because I'm hoping to high heaven it was a cat, but it sounded a hell of a lot like a guy yelling "meow".

I always though he was saying "I locked you alone, locked you alone...", other times it sounded like "I focked your mum, focked your mum..." either way it still sounded pretty creepy. D:

There have been a couple of times where I was up late at night and heard something outside that either sounded like a crying baby, or a dying cat. It was already scary in itself, and then I remembered this stuff I read saying that sometimes creepy guys try to lure women out of their houses at night by playing recordings of crying babies...

Sometimes I hear what sounds like someone using a lawnmower, again late at night.

Sometimes my family hears some crazy guy yelling things early in the morning, and sometimes they'll hear shooting. But that's ok because there really is a crazy guy that lives down the street, and idiots that shoot guns in the morning. :|

How long can someone "live" after he gets decapitated? On movies it's an instant death, but when you think about it, the victim should live for like a second (before the brain runs out of oxygen, blood).

Sometimes I hear this creepy child like giggling in the middle of the night. Freaks the hell out of me. That's why you should get a roomate that doesn't talk in their sleep.
