apparently you only have two weeks, im at two minds about that however. Here in the UK we have six weeks at summer, two weeks at christmas and easter and one week in between those three. You?

We don't even get Good Friday off. Don't know what's so good about it anyway...

Yeah...kind of a misnomer, ya?

Man, in New England we only get one week off for Christmas (makes for about 10 days including weekends). But screw it, I'm in college so I get 5 weeks now. :B

At the school I attend, we got of on Thursday, Friday is a Pro-D day. We get an extra day of no school. The traditional Winter Break lasts for 2 weeks.

I have 4 day weeks, 3 month summer, 2 week christmas, 9 day spring break

Man...I can barely remember what I had in high school....

oh, ok 9 days Thanksgiving, 2 weeks christmas, 3 days Mardi Gras, 9 days spring break...and a little less than 3 months summer

Here in Nova Scotia, Canada, we get about 2 months for summer, 2 weeks for Christmas, Good Friday and Easter Monday, Thanksgiving Monday...March Break one week...

It's decent, but we get a lot of snow days and such.

Wow i live in halifax! Where do you live exactly?

Oh... i live in the one in england :(

9-10 weeks sumer, 2 weeks x-mas, 1 week november, 1 week febuary, 1 week easter.

2 week Christmas

2 1/2 (Just call it three) month summer

1 week spring

We get 9 months of school a year.

If you're in year round school you get a couple weeks off at intervals, but you get to graduate a year early.

What do you mean?

There's a Nova Scotia in England?

Or there's...a Halifax in England?

I live in Metro Halifax..in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Upon closer inspection (google), there is a Halifax in England..I guess. I had no idea! And I am not by any means un-aware of other Countries. This surprises me.

Last year we had around 3 feet of snow, Foxtrot got the day off from school, but my district didn't, if the doors infront of the school still work, we have to go to school.

Then they have Anti-No Snow days...Or something.

I think I'd stay at home if it snowed if I were you, even if the school was open. Just say you got frostbite in your liver or something.

3 months in the summer? That is just lame, seriously. What do you do for 3 months? I used to be up and out every day of the week with my mates on summer holidays for 6 weeks and its a joy to goto school after 6 weeks.

 Summer vacation is 2 1/2 months, Spring Break is a week, Winter Break is 2 weeks, Thanksgiving vacation is 5 days.

Here we've got 10 weeks for summer vacation, thanksgiving is 4 days, 1 week for xmas and 1 week for easter, then other random days off. (USA East coast)

If it's a good summer that's fun.. it's even worse to go back. You're so out of the loop, it's a pain.

If it was a bad, or even an "okay" summer, it's good to go back just to quell the boredom.

I personally wish my school was a yearround school. They don't get the 2 1/2 month summer, but the vacations aren't as far in between and about equal the same in the end of everything length wise, and I'd be done with schooling earlier.
