On Christmas Eve two years ago, he killed his pregnant wife for money, and since it was so widely publicised and stuff, he gained A LOT of fame, and was "the case" to watch, by all the moronic news reporters who suck at their jobs.

And now he is going to jail, hoorah!

There was a similar case here, and the media totally milked it. It was never apparent whether the guy did it or not (actually, he was found guilty despite overwhelming evidence to the contraty), but it was like everyone suddenly had an opinion on it. It'd come up in conversation and someone would say "well he obviously did it", and I'd say "how do you reckon that?" and they'd reply, "well he just looks like the type of guy..." and at that point I'd drive a soldering iron into their face.

I don't get the big deal about this trial. I mean, it was pretty obvious that he did it.
No-one was really biting their nails wondering how this cliffhanger would end or anything, so why was even the smallest detail of the trial getting coverage?
