Scout Uber fast?

it seems like if you hold the scout you run faster then other wepons is this just me?

yes. It was like that in 1.6 too. Atleast is made you jump farther, but it's definately faster than every other weapon in css, it's about the same speed as knife.

weird is, why do you run faster with a knife in your hands and and a gun on your back(when you hold a gun in your hands you run slower). that's weird

I like the scout being so fast, it is a gun that is bolt-action and only deadly with a head shot having a fast retreat is fair enough, its not like you can use it to rush since to be useful you generally need to scope (unless you are awesome like me )

Chest shot will do it for a slightly weakened player too...

it also has really good accuracy when your running, I've picked off a couple people without stopping to shoot.....I've tested it and seems to be near perfect accuracy. If you could get really good with the scout then other snipers won't really stand a chance against you, unfortunatly I suck with it so I'll just stick with my AK :thumbs:

ya good call, chest shots do like 70ish still not the power of the awp, or shot speed of auto sniper.

There was a chart somewhere on the Steampowered forums, showed every weapon speed, Scout is faster than all of them, and Galil and Famas make you walk the same speed as the AWP I think. Also, all pistols make you run the same speed as the knife.

When I play CS, I only use the scout, it's almost a DM weapon :E

I have been single-shot, full-armor, full-health, non-headshot, killed by the scout so many times it's like I'm going for a record. Are there cases where you get a headshot but it doens't register?

You probably got shot in the neck, I think it does something like 101-111 dmg.
