Scout Vs Awp

i hear people telling me that the scout is better because of a faster bolt-action,move with it faster, but i have a more misses(head shot/torso) with it than a awp, plus the awp is not just a head shot rifle torso,chest and lower abdoman....What do every one thinkss>>>:)
 
AWP is better to learn with, but the Scout is just as capable of anything the Scout can do plus it's cheaper & in general it's probably easier to get a headshot w\ a Scout IMO.
 
^You admins can do that? You must have more power than the G man.

Anyways, i'd go with the awp, just because i dont enjoy sniping so when i do i buy the more expensive one. Not a realy good opinionated point of view and as thuus i am not voting.
 
1 thing I hate about the scout is that it seems so inaccurate sometimes. I wasn't moving for like 3 seconds, getting a good aim at the head of the AFK guy. When I shot, I missed... Same happens on dust2 alot, when you snipe @ the double doors next to the CT spawn. There's always an AWPing T there in the distance. I gave them so many headshots but still missed.

In both occasions, I didn't crouch. But for a sniper, that shouldnt matter right?

And does getting hit mess up your aim? With the scope on, you can't see your crosshair increasing in size. But I have this feeling that getting shot while scoped messes up your aim big time.
 
scout is a man's gun... scout and duelies are my 'for fun' combination

I once nailed 5 guys with 5 shots while standing and moving with the scout in de_cbble
it was a fluke, but a cool fluke :D
 
scout, its just so much cooler. as for firepower, yeah the awp is stronger, but the scout is the lightest weapon in the game, you can pull of awesome rushes with it.
 
Scout kills are more enjoyable. The AWP makes me feel like I'm cheating.
 
i fell uncomfortable with the awp, i should really learn though. for now its got to be scout
 
hm. when i shot a bot from the awp in the leg, it died.
scout has faster reloading.
scout is better.
 
I prefer the scout all round, but it certainly has disadvantages. I got 6 shots on a guy once, and through the scouts innacuracy, my innacuracy :) and it's lack of power, I still had to shoot him again before he died... :sniper: :x
 
Ookay, here we go, 7 reasons why Scout is better than AWP

1.Scout is as fast as the knife for movement

2.Scout is faster shooting

3.Scout is rarely restricted on servers (AWP is frequently)

4.No one calls you a Scout whore, or scouting newb ( ;) )

5.head shots are 1 hit kills either way, so if you are good its just as powerful as AWP

6.Body shots are devastating (70+)

7.It's not the AWP
 
Scout all the whay, AWP only when i power up the yamaha 440 + Athena AS-F2 speakers ;)
 
I dont get the point of this the awp is obviously morepowerful and equally accurate but the scout needs more skill to use
 
I don't snipe much at all, not my thing really. Could be because i'm crap at it ;) So I say Scout, since I miss most of the time anyway, the higher ROF helps make up for it :p. The extra agility helps too.
 
AWP has more power but I prefer the Scout because I'm better with it and the AWP is easy to kill people with. Its a one shot kill for god sakes!
 
I prefer both in certain situations. Scout is more of a rushing or camping for short times weapon. It's a bit inaccurate, though.

AWP is better for me if I know a really good camper spot or I know I'm not going to get killed easily. Another killer pro of this gun, is it's amazing accuracy. The AWP is also a favorite of mine if I have the money for it.

I think choosing the AWP is more of a gamble than using the Scout since if you die, you lose a good $3600-$4500 (or however much it is, lol).

So I would prefer the Scout over the AWP.
 
Scout becuase i can never seem to hit anybody with the AWP in source. Which is funny, becuase in CS 1.6 i couldn't hit anything with the scout, but owned with the AWP.

The AWP is a one shot kill, but it doesn't matter if you cant hit em! :)
 
to the guy with 7 points, i beleive the scout is even faster than the knife! :O or maybe its my imagination, ya never know.
 
Lets see...one shot kill vs many shot kill...hmmmm, what to choose..what to choose...(I believe the sarcasm in my post makes it clear what I voted for.)

AWP all the way!!! one shot with the AWP anywhere on the body and ur pretty much done.. the scout u miss once and ur screwed!!
 
What the guy right above me said...I'm being more specific...the AWP is muchmuchmuchmuchmuchmuch better than the scout.
 
wow dude its pretty obvious who he meant. Yeah i agree with the AWP being alot more accurate
