Scout Vs Awp

Its a .338 cailibre which is approximately the same as a .357 magnum which can put a hole the size of a dinner plate in a plaster board wall
but the pistol is highly inaccurate at even 5 metres thus
My criticism of the awp is that it is far too accurate- no skills are needed to judge a kill like a proper sniper needs

I don't get how AWP kills in 1 shot, even to the upper leg... It's not that powerful. (Isn't a .50 is it?)

Depending on the a range a .50 cal could remove your leg which is more then enough to kill you. They may have changed it but I'm pretty sure the awp uses .338 lupua magnum rounds, that means....yes one shot in the upper leg would most definatly kill you, if you didn't die from shock or severe loss of blood the amount of force behind the bullet would create a 'vacuum' that would probably be strong enough to suck your kidney through the exit wound.

being as it is a sniper rifle it will loose some of the power over distance compared to the power of a .50 cal magnum so i dont think that a long range shot from an awp would remove your leg. definatly leave a nasty hole but remove from distance i doubt.

I think 2 glock bullets to the head even with a helmet on would kill you in a matter of seconds. I am pretty sure an ak-47 at close range can make you into mince meat (Also, how the hell can you miss half the shots at like 5 meters away?) I think the point is again, while that sounds a good explanation, beam. If that was true then practically any gun should kill in 1 shot. I mean its ridiculous how people can take 5 shots from a UMP, the same calibur as the pistol yet it does damage of like a .22. Makes no sense whatsoever.

I guess what is fair to say is CS:S is unrealistic, though since it makes guns weaker than they really are I think that should apply to the magnum too. (Either a strong scope sway, lack of mobilty:Force walk, weakened down only a torso/head shot will kill.) like in call of duty.

scout owns the crap out of awp, why? couse walking/stop/shoot is possible, AWP needs to be positioned (sp) longer be4 the aim is "ok" again...

Actually, I think the fast switch from pistol back to sniper rifle makes it okay again as fast as a scout.

Depends on the situation. AWP is a better all-round sniper rifle, but the scout is better, for example, if you're flanking the enemy team on your own; because it's quieter and lighter, it's better for being stealthy. Personally, I prefer the AWP, because it's accuracy is less random.

Scout all the way, i will give you a hint, Don't miss, i rarely do, and if i do, i quickly plant another bullet into there head.

AWP is way easier, but I personally like scout better. AWP's nerfed now, back in 1.5 it was horribly unbalanced.

AWP usually one shot kills, but has slow scope speed and slow reload/bolt action, whereas the Scout shoots fast, zooms fast, and reloads fast.
