screen saver

hello, I was wondering if there was a way to extract the file or movie that you see when you first login to hl2 and get teh menu. waht i was most intrested as taking that animation and creating a screen saver. just thought that would be cool.

its an map.. just do:
map_background background01
~
map_background background07

(In Console)

record it whatever you want, and save it. Have fun

tyron, i have tryed what you have suggested and it loads perfect except for the half-life 2 text and the menu appearing. know of any way to load that without the menu?

if you do the console command "map background01" ~ "map background07" which map you use.. the menu won't be loaded.

thats a big way around
some people don't have gmod and have to download it..
just a simple copy of hl2 execute that command in console and record your done
