Why are the minimum requirements for both games not identical, then?

I am also interested to see some screenshots, but I'd be more interested in hearing how a single-core at the bottom end of the scale (perhaps even below 3.0GHz) handles L4D, if at all.

the only major difference about the requirements is higher cpu power and hard drive space, the others should be similar if not different.

I have a 2.3ghz single core CPU and it handles nigh beautifully. :thumbs:

I believe that might handle it ok for multiplayer where you aren't hosting.
Playing on a dedicated server means your CPU doesn't have to run the AI as I understand it, whereas if you host or try to play by yourself it's a lot more strain.

Hmmm... thing is that I didn't restart the game after changing settings, so I don't know if the textures remained the same or actually changed
