If so I will return my new geforce card and get an ATI...

Yup. I got a Radeon 9800 Pro, i too get stuttering, but only slightly for a second or two when autosave happens.

Yes, most people have this problem, Valve is working on it. I have an ATI card and I still get it.

I could live with the loading and save stutter but im talking about at 1600x1200, my new geforce 6800 on my 2.2ghz machine shouldnt come to crawl when im playing the actual game, should it? ive got ALL reccomended settings except Vsync set...

Is my gpu or cpu too slow?!

I run a 2.2 9800 pro w/1gig hyperx... i run just fine cept a few studders at first.. i can live with it
