Anyone e-mailed Valve to ask when they'll release the Half-Life2 SDK?

I don't know that it will be out right this week or even next, but it will certainly be out before July at the very latest. I'm betting that HL2 itself will come out in August if all goes well.

Gabe emailed me saying that it was being released as part of an ongoing process, which i ddin't understand in the slightest but i think it means they shall give programs out as and when they think people need them.

I hope they shall just release a disc with Hammer, Softimage, a compiler and all the other little programs i forget that people would need to be able to create everything for a HL2 mod. Then when the game arrives we can instantly start having some fun.

Saying that i won't be playing mods at first i shall do what i did in 1998 and download maps for a while.
