Second Oblivion Expantion

And CR0M, I see not being able to run Gothic 3 on lowest details does terrible things to a man.

The only thing I can think of that would be more terrible is actually being able to run gothic 3.

A quest to kill the wolves around the town? Sounds easy enough. Only these wolves aren't your standard wolves. These wolves attack so fast you can't even finish your recoil animation before they hit you again. Forcing you to sit there and listen to the terrible voice actor howl in pain while your character is killed. That is assuming you are actually lucky enough that the game spawns the wolves you need to kill. Wait maybe if you were wearing heavier armor the wolves wouldn't be able to hurt you as much!!! NO. Armor doesn't actually do anything in this game except blind you with its poor design and waste all the money you gained while doing generic quests that don't work the majority of the time. Biggest peice of trash I have ever installed on my computer.

A. Wild animals have been extremely dangerous in medieval times,
B. The quests, while simple, actually *FIT*. You wouldn't get a myriad of quests concerning mystical items in besieged Vengard, now would you?
C. Which brings me to the point, if you are so sure that Gothic 3 is trash, why did you buy it in the first place? Unless, of course, you were an asstard and got a pirated, illegal version.

That may be true, but gothic 3 is the last place I would go for realism. And I am sure killing a single wolf in medieval times would have been a lot easier than killing an entire town filled with orcs (had they existed of course) and mercenaries. Even the games AI has trouble with the animals, I hsve ran a pack of wolves into to town, one that is apparantley capable of killing them what with all the wolf pelts lying around, and watched them all get killed.

You got me there, so I guess the game has that going for it.

I wasn't so sure it was crap until I bought it. Despite all the rave reviews, I heard many people claiming it was better than oblivion. So I thought what the hell I will give it a try.

Are you sure you didn't just wanna call me a noob? go on, you know you want to :p

The old 'it must be your rig cos it works ok on mine' excuse just doesn't cut it with this one.

Nah, it's because you didn't provide any points, unlike Sainku.

Second, Gothic 3 will run on any decent rig [ours is Intel Core Duo with 1 GB of Ram and a Radeon 7700 (I think, it's not my computer)] with appropriate amounts of optimization.
