Well well well. I'm not sure if this have been discussed on the forum yet, but hey! Look, now we will discuss it again ;D

When I watched the bink videos (like the 500 time) I noticed something.

In the Traptown vid, when he has ran up the stairs and crashed the wood he throws a grenade under the 'Container platform'. BUT. He does NOT throw it. He rolls it. He rolls it under the container so the grenade won't flip away, he rolls it kinda softley and careful.

And in the Barricade movie you see him throw a grenade a bit harder, wich (in my thoughts) is the Primary fire throw, and the roll-grenade-toss is the secondary grenade throwing :)

Now, am I the only one who has noticed it or have you all discuss this before? I have been abit "out-of-date" on the forums, but hey, back in black! :D

And I emailed valve about this to see if my speculation is real. Maybe you already did, and what the heck did they answer :D The function would be very cool and alot easier to throw a grenade with the rollfunction :)

Valve have confirmed there are two ways to throw 'nades.

that bit in trap town was just plain incredible, the idea of being able to do stuff like that blows me away, i can some strider coming under an arch for you when you use a satchel charge to nuke one side and the whole thign comes toppling down in one awesome mass. drool.

Yep. People keep coming on here saying that hl2 is old news and blah blah hl2 sucks..... but i dont think anyone has any idea what is in store for us(outside of valve and company). There are so many things you will be able to do in hl2 just for fun.

I want to spawn about 10 combine in mid-air and watch them hit the pavment:p

You're right. There's alot of stuff you can do.. HL1 took most of the people 5h to finish on the easy level. I think the first map we all will look on emotions, on shadows, on reflections, on surfaces, on scientits (lol, scientists) etcetra.

Just look at HL:Blue Shift. The reflected floors.. GOT DAMNIT. I can feel the smell from my new-bought HL1 ..

/me wants hl2 right now.

It was my first shooter, and I spent at least a week in the first chapter! :p

i remember jupin every few seconds in some bits of HL and running through the dark parts crapping myself...what a thing for a grown man to admit.

HAHA :D Yeah, the dark areas.. damnit. I told my little sister to say if it was something there when I closed my eyes and ran thru it ;) Damn, we're so mature =)

I think HL1 took far longer than 5 hours.
And sorry, but the reflective floors (I only remember one) was simply the same room built upside down underneath the floor, if you see what I mean. The same goes for Vice City.

It's just an illusion, but it looks good :)
(looks weird if you shoot with 2ndary fire with the gauss gun on it though ;))

first time i played it it took me ages , but that was in 2000 , now i can complete in 5 hours , thats cause u don't get stuck anywhere :p

yeah, I know that the reflections were fake, but it looks good. This time. in hl2, the reflections will be for real and it will look GOODER! :D

Right now, it takes me a little under 3 hours (on hard) from the start of the tram ride to jumping through the last porthole (Gman offer).

it took me forever to complete the game the first time thru, but now as someone in PCGamer once put it "i can piss the layout of black mesa in the snow" i pretty much have the whole game memorized and it takes a couple hours is all

thats funny, because one time when i couldnt sleep i went through the game layout in my head and it blew my mind when i realized just how big that game is.

Oh man, it was scary I do remember the feeling. I had the same experience with AVP1+2. I don't want to play AVP game no more cause my heart beats jump from 72 upto 130. :E

Back to topic:
Great, most next gen games will have multiple moves. I think Gabe stated somewhere back in History that Gordon will have at least 2 moves for one weapon. Great
