You guys probably don't have sheet rock for walls. Sheetrock is this chalky paper stuff that is hard and comes in sheets, thus sheet rock. It will fall apart and make a white mess if you get it wet though, especially in wet areas where mold can grow. So I don't think they have much sheet rock in a hot place like Venezuela.
