September 11th

I had just gotten home from school when i saw my mother sitting at the computer crying watching a live feed of the video....

ill begin mourning the citezens of the us when they start mourning for all of the deaths the U.S goverment caused in Iraq,Avghanistan (except the talibans),Vietnam and Serbia
Who says they didn't?

Thats why these attacks were so evil, they killed ignorant of who they were killing. I have no doubt they killed peace activists in the attacks who were against vietnam and afganistan. They didn't care.

You simply cannot equate that evil with America becuase it accidently killed people whilst trying to protect a democracy from fascists.

To do so, is frankly, an insult to those killed and a denial of the evil of the people who perpetrated the 911 attacks.

hmm did it accidentally kill innocent people when they bombed yugoslavia?ooops sry accidentally have been ordered and i accidentally droped bombs on your country . Sry :(

They didn't accidentally bomb Yugoslavia. NATO said:
"The proclaimed goal of the NATO operation was summed up by its spokesman as "Serbs out, peacekeepers in, refugees back". That is, Yugoslav troops would have to leave Kosovo and be replaced by international peacekeepers in order to ensure that the Albanian refugees could return to their homes."

Under NATO bombing campaign

Basically NATO bombed Yugoslavia to free the refugees.

We swedes had our own 9/11 tragedies. Coursed date id say.

Get the f*ck out of this thread, it's not for your petty debates.

It's amazing to think about some members were not even in their teens yet when this happened.

I was around 7 at the time, and was walking home from school with my dad and he was talking to someone about something, but I thought he was on about a film. I got home and watched all evening about what had happened.

I was watching '9/11 hotel' last night, and saw someone jump from the tower and it made me think: what a decision to make. To jump from a high tower, or to burn to death. It's unthinkable.

I was in gym class in the 6th grade.

We were suiting out, and some kid says "hey, I hear the Russians just bombed New York?"

And we were all like, "woah, the Russians? Did they nuke it?"

"Hell, I don't know, that's what so-and-so said."

Then somebody ran in and was like, "A plane hit the Empire State Building!"

And then I spent the rest of the day thinking the Russians were attacking New York with jets, until I actually got home and watched the news.

solaris defending the USA,I thought I saw it all

9/11 a despicable act, but the bigger crime has been the way in which the Neocon republicans have abused the public sympathy to push their own world agenda through the 'War on Terrorism'

Lawl WTF?

Funny how it seems that a common first reaction has been to immediately accuse either the russians or chinese.

The planes hitting the towers was the first thing I saw after waking up. I was in the US at the time, and my mother was all like "It was probably North Korea, they do these kinds of stuff all the time."

I still don't understand why this is such a huge deal, I mean it should get some attention, but shit, alot worse stuff is happening/happened then this, the only reason this is so big is because it happened to the U.S., if some tower got bombed in Iraq or some country far away from the states, I guarantee it'd have a thread here, then we'd forget about it in a week.

Don't get me wrong, it's terrible, blah blah, but it feels like it's being exploited, and I'm sick of hearing about it. Didn't someone create a thread about the exploitation of 9/11?

I oughta smack you for that ,but there has to be be at least one idiot in this thankful for fulfilling this quota.

I was a sophomore in high school and in algebra 2 class when I first heard of it happening... actually kind of amazing that I can remember that.

I remember my grandmother saying something about another terror attack and me not giving a shit.

Oh I remember now! It was the birthday of my friend and when I got back home my grandmother told me that..

(Yeah his birthday is on 9\11 llolololololololol)

And yeah I quoted myself.

I was in class all day, first we heard about a terrorist attack, which wasn't the most amazing thing ever (remember this wasn't the first time the trade center got bombed). Then a little later someone said they heard that the towers collapses, and I said I wouldn't believe it until I saw it, because it sounded ridiculous.

Buncha white people died without any direct influence on our part. We should be celebrating.

I was in 7th grade walking back from lunch. One kid runs to my table and says "The Chinese bombed the twin towers!". Oh what an idiot. I walked into my social studies class in which my teacher was crying just a bit. She turned on the TV for us to watch, but not before telling us herself of what we were about to see. The classroom was full of sorrow, a few people were tearing up as well. We watched the TV as one by one, students were being plucked out of class.

My mom took me home early too. By the time I got home, the whole family was home glued to the TV. We spent the rest of that day watching the events unfold, and also the recovery effort.

While I can understand the pain and the horror of the incident, I really think that America has over milked this situation.

stfu, worse stuff happens every day, much worse stuff. You act like 9/11 was something as big as WW2 (although since you Americans have to find any reason/excuse to do stupid things, I have no doubt it will escalate into something much worse then WW2, tbh (no offense to smart, level headed Americans)
9/11 was one of the darker days of our country....
WW2, Revolution, Civil War, Slavery.. Off the top of my head.

But 3,000 people dying is a million times worse in comparison..

Well you're own government did it so it's the worst in that sense.

If anyone in this thread gets banned before you Pesh, I'm going to stab you in the face with a spear.

If I get banned, I'll ****ing hack this site.

With a pair of hair clippers of course.

This thread is to remember the 3000 odd people who were killed and share memories and thoughts on the matter. No conspiracy bullshit please under threat of ban, we don't care who you think is responsible.
.

Guess you can't respect Ennui's request?

I would have really liked one of these hats to wear yesterday:
