Seriously do you think we will be able to use cloth dynamics in the game.

Seriously do you guys think that we will be ablt to use cloth in game. Like being able to create a trench coat or robes and garments. I know bloodlines is doing this so how can we do the same.

I think you'll be able to achieve something a little beyond this effect in HL2.

yes it is possible (same thing as done in MP2 and Splinter Cell (through hanging curtains etc) i believe its been said it will require extra code but is possible!

They can simmulate matrasses so I am sure they can, but it wont be wise to make all the clothes of that material.. I think it would inflict to much and eventually fall off, leaving you with a nude alyx.. OMG.. valve.. do this in hl2

yeah, all that I was going for was somthing pretty small. At the Very most a cloak or cape.

I asked Gabe pretty much this exact question a few weeks ago, he replied and said yes you could do cloth on an in-game player model however it would be quite a lot of code for something that has no substantial effect on game play.
