Why would it be? A psu's a psu you know.
Unless you're speaking like, you ordered a psu, haven't gotten it yet and you just noticed it's for servers. Then That's a different story. But as long as it's atx (or whatever mobo you have) and has the right number of pins (easily remedied with a converter) then I don't see the problem.

Probably a marketing thing. Servers have to be up for long periods of time, so a ps that delivers constant reliable power is best.
