If both parties know exactly whats going on, both of legal age. Is sex without love 'ok'

Hm? Post your opinions and vote in the poll!

Absolutely. Yes. It's 'ok'. In fact, sometimes it's 'fantastic'.

If they're sure neither will get attached and no-one gets hurt, why not?

There's nothing wrong with it. Though I wouldn't have sex with anyone I didn't love :)

Aww, I love you SHIPPI :naughty:

How did I guess CB was the author of this thread? :E

I think it's fine, personally.

These exact words, i agree with. Don't look at me like that, seriously :)

Im fine with it, but personally for me, it would have to mean something, unless i was that pissed and didn't care :E

Yeah absolutely. As long you're both consenting adults, why not.

p.s. F**kbuddies FTW

shouldnt even be a question ...you love with your brain not your penis

I think its fine. Generally its a lot more stressful if you had Sex in a relationship, because you don't know if they have been cheating. If you are just kidding around then, then you don't have to worry about them going elsewhere

Well being how most of the users on these forums are male, Im sure we all know what the general consensus will be..lol

Sex today is meant for pleasure. Since loving someone is not necessary for the physical pleasure there is nothing wrong with it. However if you personally don't get much pleasure or feel uncomfortable from sex without love then there is no point in doing it that way because it defeats the purpose.

To each their own. There is no moral question here in my mind. Having a kid with someone you don't love however is completely different. That is when it becomes wrong.

well, it's ok in the legal and possibly emotional sense, but if your Christian then no, it is not ok.

If you're a normal, healthy person then it's absolutely fine.

i think its ok for others to do, but i hold myself to different standards than others, so i wouldn't be ok with me doing it.

Damn right it's okay. I don't see myself ever falling in love, so I'd have to be celibate. And I like sex too much.

I used to say "It's fine, I wouldn't ever do it though."

Then I've bee doing it for a year now

Sure it's fine. Nothing wrong with a roll in the hay for the purpose of pleasure and fun.

The question you should be asking is wether or not it's ideal. I think most people would prefer sex with somebody they have strong feelings for.

Quoted for truth.

but ultimately if everyone had this mindset, marriage would not longer be important or sacred. those who did have true love and got married would be out of luck, because they or their partner would probably sleep around.

this is why i wouldn't do it, not because the single act strikes a moral chord, but because of the overall mindset that ultimately devalues marriage and true love, and instills distrust.

I hope that those who believe its ok, should never get married, for the sake of your would-be wife. stay single, and have much sex with single people. cause if you do get married, still maintaining this mindset, you will cheat. and once the shit hits the fan you'll realize why its not a great mindset.

oh come on .. I've had a lot of relations with women without being in love ..I'm married and I've never (nor ever will) cheated on my wife.

This is a load of crap. What you're talking about is commitment, which is pretty much an entirely different subject.

You're making an assumption that Absinthe has already refuted; the fact that sex without love is ok doesn't make it ideal- to many people sex whilst in love would be infinitely more desirable.

You're also making the assumption that people keep the same mindset all their lives. People change, and maturity as people move into middleage generally ensures a higher level of fidelity.

EDIT: This thread moves fast. Also, Ron Burgundy is awesome.

Comrade has sex without relationships or love regularly. He's just curious about what others think.

I don't mind it really but I don't get NEARLY as much fun out of anything physical if it's not backed by a strong relationship. Unless the girl is really ****ing attractive.
