Sharia La boeuf calls Wii an "amatuer console"

Do I need to reaction face here? Do I really need to?

Attractiveness is subjective. See my previous post. Saying things like, "Guys, act like men you know you want to stick your dick in her otherwise you're not a man" is really the lamest kind of argument. Fact is I wouldn't even put my penis in Megan Fox just to tell the STORY that I put my penis in Megan Fox. I find her unattractive, physically.

Beauty is always an opinion. There is no universal scale of measuring beauty. So to say, "let's not post opinion as if it's fact," and then "she's attractive by any standard or measurement of beauty," you're doing exactly what you just said not to do.

Oh yeah? Well name one person who would find this attractive:

I'm thinking about getting a Wii, because I go into my Public library today and they have at least 50 Wii games [that I can check out for free]. They didn't have any just 2 weeks ago.

They'll probably get all scratched up, but at least I'll be able to try them out, especially when they get new games.

He was already the forums favourite actor and has now mad eit better. :D

O, Wii sucks anyway.

Classic Halflife2.net thread right here. Multi-quoting arguments, console wars and complete and utter derailment of the thread topic.

Shia is an idiot and should not be acting. He almost single-handedly ruined Indiana Jones 4 (I say "almost" because the script had a lot to do with it almost being a total shitshow). Why any of us should care about his opinion, esp. when it comes to gaming, is beyond me.

Celebrities, in general, SHOULD NOT be consulted on ANYTHING because the masses tend to value their opinions over everything else, even if that everything else is fact backed up by reams of research.

I have a Wii and love it (though it has been all PS3 for me since Demon's Souls came out :D). Others have it and don't use it, others have it and hate it. Why anyone should care about this douche's opinion is beyond me.

Yet, you seem to care more than anyone else. :p

Har har har, but I don't think that I state anywhere in my post that I actually care that he has such a low opinion of the Wii. To clarify, I DO NOT care what he thinks. I DO care about people not paying attention to this crap. In this respect I have to be guilty because, yes, the very act of me addressing it at all means that I care about this issue to some extent. However, it is not that I care about the substance (or lack thereof) of his statements, but rather I care that people take his (or any other celebrity's opinions) more seriously for some reason. Looking at them as somehow different from the rest of us is one of the main problems with society imho...or at least it is symptomatic.

I don't understand the Shia hate, really.

He strikes me as distinctly average in every way.

You're right. Sin and Punishment 2 and Mario Galaxy 2 look awful!! :rolling:

I just want to try 'Punch Out'. Is that game any good? I saw it at the library. I'd imagine it's pretty fun with the Wiimote?

The Punch Out on the NES was the game that ruined my life. I forced myself to stay up all night playing it, and the sun came up and I could never sleep properly again. I've been a zombie ever since.

I haven't played it, but a friend of mine loves the game and never shuts up about it. Don't expect much to be changed - it's still more of a strategy/reactions test than a fighter - other than the game being longer and more involved. I'll be picking it up soonish purely due to how glorious it looks in motion and for nostalgia value. Reviews have been good.

Yeah, I saw a guy playing it in an EBGamestop the other day and it looked really fun. I will likely get it when it drops in price a bit.

I have a Wii and I hate Shia, but I agree with him (maybe not as strongly).

I dont even know who the **** these guys are, but most importantly, who the hell even remotely cares about what they think?

Besides, all consoles suck. PC ftw

so you're saying you agree that you're not really a gamer because you own a wii?

Nah, I don't agree with that

"It's kind of an amateur console. I'm not into the Wii thing."

I more agree with this, although I wouldn't go far as calling it an amateur console, majority of the titles for Wii just don't appeal to me (especially that I never owned a Nintendo console before and never got into the early franchise titles). Its a great console for playing with family and friends, but as a gamer, the console just lacks on a technological/games basis. Super Mario Galaxy is cool though.

I dont even know who the **** these guys are

Yeah - faithful sequels to two of the best games to grace a console . They must be medicore :rolling:
I bet you are one of those people who've bought every single titles that has word "mario" in it. :bounce:

And please, sin and punishment aka another railshooter does not = best. :O

I find the entire console scene amature, its all about pc gaming

Only the good ones - of which there are lots.

Come on - are you really going to argue that Mario Galaxy is medicore? Perhaps not for you, but average? That's just crazy talk.

Sin and Punishment was one of the better games of that gen. Not a rail shooter btw - that's hotd etc.

The only Mario game I enjoyed every moment of was Sunshine. There was actually nothing wrong with that game. Mario 64 was too abstract and Galaxy was even more so, (plus the fanboys going on about its "amazing" graphics). All the Karts were good, most notably DS.

Galaxy was mediocre.

Each to their own. Sunshine was the only flagship Mario game to not blow me away - take Mario out of it and it could be any platformer. The void levels were excellent though. I'd like a full game of void levels.

Galaxy is amazing. It still staggers me how inventive and creative it is.

How can you say that isn't a work of pure genius :rolling:

Like I said, it's all a bit unnecessarily abstract and yet it acts like a game for three year olds. I understand why someone would like these sorts of games but the fact that they are in such a vast minority compared to everything else on the Wii is what puts me off. Maybe if every Party Babies or Wii Fit was Mario Galaxy people could have a valid reason to buy one.

It's the abstract nature that makes Galaxy so apealing for me - it delights and surprises while games like CoD induce sleep. I disagree that it's a game for 3 year olds, too. I'm 30 an adore nearly everything about Galaxy. Most of my gaming mates are of a similar age and feel the same way. There's a difference between childlike games and games designed for kids. Infact, i'd argue that the very best games are those that bring about childlike emotions.

Maybe if every Party Babies or Wii Fit was Mario Galaxy people could have a valid reason to buy one.

I suspect there are a fair few Wii games you either haven't played or don't know about. There's plenty of crap, sure, but some real quality, especially if you're into party gaming.

Here's another reason why nintendo sucks balls. They refuse to publish Fatal Frame IV outside of japan.

One word: shrooms

****ing amatuers!

ITT HL2.net is forced to decide between its inexplicable hatred of Wii and its inexplicable hatred of Shia LaBeouf.

I think Shia is a below average actor and the wii is a below average console.
