Yup us English people rock :)
We sure do. Huzzah for the British sense of humour, and all who sail in her :naughty:

Liz: "Shaun, I just wish we had more time to -"
Ed <in the background>: "F*ck!"
Liz: "Y'know it'd just be nice if we could - "
Ed <in background>: "Cock it!"

Ed: "Can I get... any of you c*nts... a drink?"

Ed: "Why d'you have to go and save her? She dumped you."
Shaun: "Because I love her."
Ed: "Alright... Gay."

I watched it recently and it was a lot more violent than I remembered.

Oh man, that movie is definitely the best horror comedy to come about in ages, a true classic of the genre, god i loved it so much
I'm glad it's getting an american release

Aren't they making a sequel - "From Dusk Till Shaun" or something?
I just hope it doesn't delay the third series of Spaced too much!

I haven't seen that one yet! Is it out to rent at Blockbuster (UK) yet?

Haha, I love that title. :D

I can't wait to see this movie, i wish it'd hurry up and get to mah theatre!!!!!! I've been waiting for this since it released across the pond :)

If you guys enjoyed the movie maybe you should watch the sitcom Spaced, same actors and it's hilarious :)

Nope there's not going to be a sequel to Shaun, but they do have a new movie in the works:

Blast. Oh well, the new fillum sounds very intriguing:
"There's a couple of working titles. We're deciding between whether it's going to be Raging Fuzz or Hot Fuzz.
Is it just me or do both of those titles sound vaguely like an angry acne rash irritated by the first whisps of adolescent beard...

And CB's right - Spaced is genius.

Captain Wow!

"Oh my God....she's so drunk"
"oh..I think she wants to cuddle"

and the "Oh for God's sake! Oh! He's got an arm off"

Just the way he says it. Anyways, go see this movie! It totally rules, not the best movie this year but certainly beats the crap out of most movies this year. Van Helsing, AvP, Catwoman...ya know.
I thought it was gonna be a limited realese only in the States though. They've changed it?

I checked Amazon.com but Spaced isn't available in the States, yet ;(

I'd be willing to say it's the best movie I've seen this year... Deep down, everyone loves that kind of survival story, and this one was done with a lot of style and humor... Serious when it needed to be, hilarious when it needed to be... Charming characters... it delivered on the gore. Everything a zombie movie needs is right there. Lots of clever little jokes and references to catch. It ranks right up there with Evil Dead 2 and Braindead as far as zombie comedies go (albeit, a totally different style)...

The only thing I can hold against the movie is the criminal underuse of Dylan Moran. If any of you have seen Black Books, you know what I mean. At least he was given the best death in the movie - that scene was great... If you haven't seen Black Books, it's one of the best British comedy shows you'll find. Just recently watched the third season DVD - it's a shame that's the end of the show...

I hear positive comments on this film, and I love this pic :D

gonna check it out some time

i think my favourite scene was when ed comes with the jag after they save liz and gets out and says "wassup niggas?!"

i liked the part where he is thinking out his plan in his mind, its so class!
all of the film is great!!

lol and on the bus where everyones like all tired and zombie-ish and zombie nation plays in the background :D:D

If you guys like survival horror with some good old english humour, check out Dog Soldiers. It's more thriller than comedy, but the funny parts really make it more than just another crappy survival flick.

Just watched shaun of the dead few days ago it is really cool. WATCH IT!

Oh lord no.

Dog soldiers was pretty good actually but its still unfit to lick the dog poop from SOTD's big fat boot!

"Right, if Little Red Riding Hood comes along with a bad temper and a bazooka, I want you lot ready to chin the bitch."

Dog soldiers was pretty good, not that funny though.

I can see why its rated R besides whatshisface being ripped apart and his organs being eaten without looking away

"ITS 4 in the ****ING morning! its ****ing sunday and ive got to go to ****ing work in 4 ****ing hours because every other ****er in my ****ing departmant is ****ing ill! NOW CAN YOU SEE WHY IM ****ING ANGRY?!!?

"**** yeah!"

lot of F bombs. But they redeem them when ed is dancing to that electro

I also loved all of the repeating they had in this movie. Like every scene before winchester had some little cameo in the opening credits or something Ed said. Almost all the zombies were seen in the opening credits like that girl in their garden was in the opening scene in the supermarket.

"It's 4 in the funking morning!" :)

The DVD extras on this are great, seriously even better than spaced (though the mighty 3 disc edition may top it when that comes out), but with 4 commentaries, trivia track, video diaries, sfx featurette, the funniest out-takes and lots more it really does groan with extras. ;)

Matt Lucas and David Walliams are on board for their next flick, an action-adventure - if Lucas gets one of the main roles it's going to be amazing.

I love the way he says 'f*ck-a-doodle-doo' :E

How good is the extras bit with Vernon Kaye and Coldplay!? Genius.
Also, it has Trisha in it, and Trisha's f*cking cool.

My brother pointed out why there are zombies. Because they never really say, there is this part in the beginning where there is a guy listening to the radio and the radio says that there is a satellite thing that crashed unexpectdly into SE england (carrying the virus just like Dawn of the dead)

it also references 28 days later too. it's pretty cool with the references.

right near the end, on the news on the tv, it says something like:

''contrary to popular belief, the zombies were NOT caused by infected monkies!''

i just saw it last night, hehe :D

it is indeed great

the doors - touch me

So, SOTD isn't even out in US cinemas? That might explain why I hadn't heard of it.

It was more like "contrary to popular belief, the theory that the zombies were caused by escaped infected monkies has been discarded as bull-" just as the TV is switched off. :D

Just saw the movie, I loved it!

The humor is f*cking brilliant.

Just like Spaced! On the DVD of Spaced, you can turn on an option that pops up with the references (film/tv/song/advert) when they happen.
My favourite ones are:
-The Pulp Fiction piss-take at the beginning of the second series
-It's too orangey for crows!
-The Jurassic Park reference: "Clever boy..."
Oh actually there are too many to mention :)
