Sherlock Holmes - theatrical trailer 1

Interesting comment there hot, thanks.

I remain doubtful. If they aren't gonna do it tongue-in-cheek it looks too over the top to work well imo. I'm also not a fan of 1-trick-pony Ritchie so I'm also skeptical that he can manage to direct something different from the film(s) he has (re)released to date. Still, the good cast should help to some extent.

Not too sure what I think about this.
I read maybe one Sherlock Holmes book years ago for school but that's it.

I'm pretty ****ing excited about this. I love Sherlock Holmes and I love the cast, and it looks like they're taking it in a different direction which is exciting. As long as they keep good mystery I'll find no fault. Plus, Guy Ritchie.

could be good but maybe a little too actiony for sherlock holmes? And I have too agree that Guy Ritchie is the definition of a one trick pony so this could end up being total crap.

I've never read the books so I don't know if sherlock stole watson's clothes but I've never heard of such a thing :|

Pretty much this.

And Guy Ritchie's movies might be really similar, but they're still all great.

Is it just me or all trailers for movies EXACTLY THE SAME ? When i saw this i immediately thought of V for Vendetta or Angels and Demons , Star Trek . Does anyone agree ?

Nope you're not the only one. Specifically trailers for action movies. It's like they all follow some sort of "movie trailer in 5 easy steps" manual.

Sherlock Explolmes.

This looks like trash. But I do love the cast. So I'll wait till I see some more.

More eagerly awaiting the new BBC adaptation written by Gatiss.

Quality of the concept aside, what the **** is with obsession with the hit-then-slowmo effect? Has Hollywood gone Zack Snyder? It was cool like two times. Now it's in every fight scene.

I must say, that trailer looked outrageously shit. I do like Holmes, and I do like new directions, but this really does appear to be trash. I guess I'm just predisposed to feel ill of any Ritchie film that surfaces, so perhaps I should reserve judgement. Also - Jude Law as Watson? That's almost as tasteless as Action Holmes.
