He ran through the streets, and squeezed off five more rounds into his pursues, and was rewarded in seeing two more fall to the ground in bloody heaps. In retalitaion he saw muzzle flashes, and then the bullets bit into the wall behind him. He ducked, and carried on running, trying to lose his pursues in the rubble of a destroyed building of some sort. Scambling over and upwards to the frist story of the building, he got a glimpse of some combine soliders running away from the rebels that had ambushed them, but were cut down in a hail of bullets.

He cursed, and vowed every rebel scum would die, at this he carried on running through the wreckage of the offices of some company into the though the smoke.

(well, just a little thing i wrote in 5mins at the end of a ICT lesson at school, gimme ur views, if u like, maybe ill write a full one at home) cheers,

It was a bit too short, it would be a nice paragraph in a short story, but it cant stand as a story by itself. Still, it was well written.

hmmm ur right, shouldnt have really bothered, ill write a better one tomz :D so, watch this space!

So it's from the viewpoint of a Combine soldier? That shit is wack, yo.

Elaborate, plz :)

damn right it is :D ive wrote a bigger one, just applying finnishing touches, my best storys are fantasy, with knights etc, but for HL2, kinda the same concept :P so, later tonight, should be a bigger one on here :D

The moon was silently creeping and engulfing the sky in its light, as shadowy figures moved in the darkness in the streets of City 11. All hell had broken loose after the destruction of City 17, after the citadel had been destroyed, Combine control of the area diminished greatly, and now it was a rebel stronghold.

Sgt. Blake of Special Assault Squad of Combine forces in City 11, was jerked back to reality as something caught his attention in the shadows in the building in front of them, he raised his hand, signalling the squad of seven troopers to stop. They all complied in swift, noiseless actions, and took a knee to the floor, weapons poised, ready to strike.

The sound was clearer this time, and Blake signalled Trooper #six to move forward and check the area. The trooper complied wordlessly, and moved towards the opening to the building, as blackness took him, he switched on a torch, attached to his shotgun, and pumped the shotgun to readiness, the darkness was split by the light as it shone out. The darkness rushed away, and he slowly checked the area.

There was a muffle, and the light went out in the building ahead of him, Blake cursed silently, and put his finger on his helmet. “Sector seven-Z, we have the test subject located, request additional units”. The slow humming of the radio was broken by the crackle of a high voice, from the female operator, “Negative unit B – nine, no additional units available at this time, proceed with mission”, and at that, silence again. He hit his flash light, and the beam came to life, at this the squad did the same.

As the squad approached the building, Blake could hear the respiration quickening from some of the squad members, as the gas masks gave this away. He neared the opening of the building, and signalled the squad to rush. They complied, rushing into the large hall, and fanning out, to cover all areas of it. Blake could see the body of trooper #six, his shotgun next to him, lying in a floor of blood, with his throat ripped out. The beams of light cut through the darkness, and then they saw a number of figures move through the adjacent doorway in the other side of the hall.
Torch beams quickly illuminated the ghastly figures approaching, all were once human…once thought Blake, “Forget the zombies, find the damn test subject!” as he said this, a figure dropped from the ceiling, and landed on Trooper #five.

All of a sudden, gun shots ripped apart trooper #five, as the squad aimed for the creature on his back, in the hail of shots, a few hit home, but most punched holes in Trooper #five. Blake aimed at the things head, and his torch beam showed the creatures features, his eyes widened at the sight.

The creature was wearing a uniform of some sort, some kind of military uniform, and it had the usual head crab on its head, but it also had a mouth for a stomach, and moved much faster then its counter parts slowing fumbling there way across the hall to its right. The creature ripped what was left of trooper #five to bits, and discarded his body like a rag doll, and sent it sprawling into trooper #seven, who was knocked into the oncoming zombies, who pounced on his body and clawed at his gas mask. Blake fired a shot home, and saw the creature fall sideways, the view he got was of the things half head, showing its teeth and parts of the brain, something he wished he had not. The troopers fired more shots into the thing, and blew it to pieces, as blood and gore was sent spiralling all over the place, Blake hit his radio “Fall outside, double quick” he yelled, “Move!”. The troopers complied, and rushed out, firing into the mass of approaching zombies.

Blake was last out, and pulled the pin out of a grenade, and rolled it into the mass, and quickly ran back to the remaining four troopers. The dull thud which followed made the windows all turn black in the light, as the gore and blood all splattered all over them. He signalled the troops to move out, and they quickly rushed away from the scene of carnage.

Well, wrote this one in maybe 30mins, if you like, let me know, and ill write some more stories of the glorious Combine!! (and Sgt Blake of course :P)
