need help, how do you open the gates?

Ive been stuck on this for the last 1/2 hour

tried grenades at the control booth, jumping over the tree in the lake, jumping over the fences.

Nothing

Screenshot? Might be the place you need to blow up barrels and release a swinging beam.

I think Ahnteis is right. If you find a valve that sparks and don't work, look to your right, and shoot.

press 'E' at the control pannel.

THis is where i am, can anyone help?

get in ur boat, go to gat you see in the second screenshot, get out, climb the ladder and hold e at the valve to open that gate, then jump the broken ramp/bridge, you see 2 combine, kill them, go inside (anohter 2 combine) get ammo etc..

Go outside the barn again (turn right, around the barn) ZOOM IN! you'l see the GMAN!


Follow the obvious path to the top of the big dam-thing you see in the first screenshot and you'l see a sparking lever and a normal one, use it. You'l see a floodgate open. Get back to your boat and get to the rough area of the second pic again, then use the fallen trees to jump through.
