lol! ok I had to do a double take when I first read this headline

Fox crew shot at in Israel

Foxnews transcript said:
and despite this action in Gaza City, targeting the Foreign Ministry building that is all but gutted at this hour, militants in Gaza today did continue to launch rockets from the northern part of the strip, over the border into nearby Israeli towns and... whoa! We just go fired at. That's the end of this [broadcast], I think. I don't know if you guys can still hear us.

I may not like fox"news" all that much but I completely disagree with targeting journalists ...funny cuz in 2003 Bush bombed Al Jazeera to silence them ..I wonder if this is the same thing ..or just random dude with a gun who really really hates Bill O'reilly

Seems more probable. I'm sure they'll have Fox News Security paying them a "little visit".

Wow, things are really heating up over there. In most operations the communications/power are some of the first things to go, whether its the radio stations, TV stations, newspapers, power plants, etc.

But the targetting of (foreign) journalists by armies/insurgents seems counter-productive, just as the savage butchering of innocents on the internet seems to be totally retrograde to their cause. No sympathy will be gained by the majority of the world by watching such heinous brutality...even if it is Fox news.

I think I want to shoot him for using words like "Ascertain" and "communicate" when he means "find out" and "talk to".

I love how they dramatize it. "OMG WE JUST GOT SHOT AT EVEN THO IT WAS ONLY ONE BULLET!"

Are you ****ing stupid? One bullet could kill him. You ****ing got shot at, obviously someone was trying to either scare you or kill you, and would continue if they hadn't left.

I like how you are trying to under-dramatize an even that could have ended in an innocent man being killed.

But it was pretty funny when the two guys in the room were talking:

"Yeah but uh if you're somebody and you're a long ways away and you just see something and you don't know who it is sometimes you just start shooting"

"...Really?"

"Err, in the meantime"

Sounded like it was right out of a movie :p

COULD HAVE Is the key words.

Or what if it was just a ricochet? Shut your ****ing face you god damn noob. Jesus no one cares or likes you veggie, go away.

You're saying that it doesn't matter if someone "could have" been killed? It's called a near death experience.

Jesus Christ get some perspective on the thing.

People get killed all the time you dumbass. Welcome to reality. Also it's called I don't give a damn.

And now you're just missing the point entirely. And not to mention abandoning your argument. You say it shouldn't be dramatized because he didn't die, but now you say it doesn't matter if he had died anyway.

<3 Political section.
And I <3 Veggies... >:0

No, I get the point. The point is I don't give a damn and that you're a noob.

How weak you are. You don't belong in the politics forum if you find people who are arguing with you "annoying"

Just because you don't think a death matters doesn't mean everyone else doesn't either.

For one, me and dread, we was joking and be sarcastic. Second, what's there to debate about?

Nothing anymore. We were debating how serious the situation was, I guess.

And yeah I can tell you were joking, but I found it a slight bit tasteless.

So when someone disagrees with your political views you call them a dumbass. First you said its ok because he didnt die, then you switched to 'i dont give a damn'...err wtf??

Wow. First, how is this a political view? We're talking about a video, not a political view. Second I really don't, nor does some other people. As you can see, it's only you and veggie trying to start a debate that doesn't really need debated. Me and dread was JOKING SARCASM SATIRE. That's why he's a dumbass. If someone has a political view other then mine, then hey good for them, but talking about a stray bullet hitting near a reporter is not a political view. THAT'S WHAT WE WAS JOKING ABOUT.

Understand?

I wasn't "starting a debate" I was calling your humor in bad taste. I don't see how thinking something involving the near death of someone being not funny makes me a "dumbass"

Oh, I just called you a dumbass just for the hell of it. No reason really.

IMO, news crews and reporters really shouldn't go into these hotspots...

It wasn't a hotspot. It looked very abandoned. Notice the complete surprise. If they had known people were there I don't think they would have gone out in the open like that, they aren't stupid :p It was just a mistake, and I'm sure their going to be more careful now.

Cutting off heads, targetting civillians with car bombs, blowing up busses, etc hasn't seemed to stop most of the world from being sympathetic to them.

Personally, I am grateful to news reporters for risking their lives to bring back footage from hotspots...

But they'd be better off having the Army or some authority better equiped to film the footage

Yeah, but you're used to the army giving you all your news :/

Someday you'll see the light numbers.

Even Fox is better than tasteless propaganda.

Those guys crack the occasional unfunny joke! Har har har har.

I love you numbers :)

 you got me there ...ok people pretending to be journalists :)

you make it sound like:

palestinian = terrorist

the overwhelming majority of people killed on either side are civilians

I mean that if you want to view a footage of a battlefield, an APC can do it just fine. Without any danger to journalists.

I'm talking about terrorists in general, from Chechnya to Iraq to Palestine, have tended to garner support across the globe despite how morally wrong they are and even though their ideology runs in opposition to those that support them.

But then you don't get the journalist talking over the background, describing what did or is happening.

If you've got an APC mounted video cam, then the only feedback you're going to hear is going to be from some teenager, allong the lines of "YEAH! We are SO GONNA **** UP THESE PAKI MOTHER****ERS! HOOOOOORAH!"
