well, i don't know if there is anything like this but hey, sorry if it is...
do you think it's a really cool book?
like, what does it actually have? i read the reveiw in this site, it really helped but there is just one last step, how do you rate it?
plz tell me as soon as you can, i'm gonna have to tell my grandmother by tomorrow, plz help me.
thanks,
oh and by the way, does it have gordon's model refrence?
what is the coolest thing in the book? plz tell me, thanks again.

yes, it's absolutely amazing and worth every penny. i rate 10/10.

yes it has gordon's model reference in detail, several combined faces and stuff... along with model references for everyone else

i loved some of the alternate concepts and stuff, and stories...

BUY IT. NO CONTEST.

if only one more guy says yes... i'm like, at the edge now..!

no one is going to tell you no. it's worth $35, easily.

Agreed with Ennui. Raising the Bar is REALLY worth the money. You should definitely get it.

we have two voters for AWSOME so i'm gonna buy it!
wow, hope it's really the way you say it is.
one more thing, is it because of copyright that you see no image of gordon's model reference in the net? i've searched everywhere...

EDIT: thanks, i'll definitely buy it.

well, RTB scans are illegal so yeah.

Since when has something being illegal stopped someone from doing it on the internet anyway?

I picked it up for $30 at Barnes and Noble last winter after I purchased the game.

It's an amazing book, beautiful hardbound with a slipcover and absolutely filled to the brim with page after page of conceptual work, illustrations and paintings, character drafts and bios and a synopsis section for the voice actors and digital likenesses. Totally worth the money, I think. I still crack it open and page through it often.

Rasing the bar was the first actual kind of book i ever baught, besides the college books... but i dint want to buy those..

*Samon shoots jerkasaur in the head for not having the book*

Since we're a reputable site and I believe the servers we're on are owned by Valve. We are not allowed to do illegal things. :E

i didn't ask for a pic of gordon's reference model, what did I do wrong?

You didn't do anything wrong, a completely unrelated topic has spun off of your question. Get Raising the Bar!

Get it. Ignore the treasonous idiots who voted no. You won't be disappointed.

I enjoyed every waking minute I've spent reading it. It IS my bible after all.

Hey, does anyone know a good place to order/get it if you live in Sweden?

Prima Games has scns of two of the pages from the book. It makes me want it so much. too bad I won't be able to buy it for a few months.

It's an awesome book, read it from begining to end and was amazed. It's also cool to just flick through every now and then and just take in the concept arts. Awesome book!

I thought that the book was also amazing. Definitely a must-buy. Get it!
