should I get this PSU?

Well, i've never heard of that brand in my life, and the wattage rating is unfeasibly high for such a cheap PSU, so i'm going to say it's not a particularly good idea. Sometimes you can get away with running those PSU's if you are not drawing anywhere their maximum claimed wattage, but even then i'd take less watts and higher quality over that anyday. If a PSU goes bang (and cheap ones can tend to when stressed) it can take a number of components with it.

Mind, it does appear to be on offer, from what appears to have originally been a less optimistic price. Someone from your side of the pond may know more about this brand than i and can possibly shed some light ?

yes it would be great if somebody had any experience with this brand

My experience with no-name or unheard of brands has never been a good one. It's always better to get a more expensive PSU from a more trustworthy vendor.

silverstone
corsair
coolermaster
thermaltake

I've used them all before and they haven't failed me yet. (well a coolermaster failed, but warranty was easy to claim due to availability)

Corsair are very trustworthy, quality PSU's, that would be a good solid buy i would say.

I have a Corsair PSU in this computer. It had some weird behavior when I first got it, but it stabilized and has been running fine for a year and a half now.

FYI HEC is an actual manufacturer of PSUs. Thermaltake and Antec have used them for some of their units. Not exactly trash units...
I don't know how that model rates though.

Ahh, that's cool to know. And yeah, I know that Antec have definitely produced some great PSU's over the years, so if they were manufactured by HEC then chances are their own units aren't too bad !

Those are PSUs are solid as. I'm running one in my server and have been for the past 2 years, and it hasn't switched off by itself or had any problems at all.
