Should I wait?

With so many people all having problems right now, a few hours before release of HL2, I have a small problem. It's very weird, and I don't know why it happens. Whenever I shut down my computer, not restart, my computer keeps going through the boot cycle, until I manually restart. Then it asks me which way I want so start up Windows in. I always have to choose Normal, because the other modes trap it right into the loop again.

This isn't a big problem at all, but very weird, and I would feel better having it squashed.

My question is, should I wait until a few days after tomorrow to call tech support? They've helped me in the past, but I'm paranoid that something will go wrong, just like with the others.

No, just reformat ur HD and install everything today.

Tech support? Most of the time tech support sucks, never use them. Just format the HDD and be done with it.

Ugh, but I just did that to fix the old problem. And I don't have any blank CDs lying around for file storage. Agh.

Or am I lost, and formatting your HDD and re-formatting are completely different?
