Should Marijuana be legalized in the US?

Why not? Sure smoking it is worse for you, but there are so many good recipes...


(Side Note: I don't do marijuana, I just think that the US is scared that alcohol sales are going to go down, which would be bad financially for them)

Even though they're are already several threads; no doubt, it is about as bad as drinking and it isin't worth people dying over in the war against drug trafficing, if we taxed them heavily and didn't allow it to minors I dont see why not it's just not worth what we go through (in the U.S.)

I've been on the fence about this for a long time but finally decided I disagree with its legalization. Now I think if people truly want to take drugs such as this I have no right to stop them.

However, my one reason I'm against it is I think making marijuana legal would lead to an entire new drug industry reminiscent of the tobaco industry. I truly do not like the tobacco companies and fear what might happen if similar companies start selling marijuana for profit. If there was someway to absolutely ensure that didn't happen then perhaps I would change my mind.

I cant stand the idea of regulating what adults consume in the privacy of their own home... I'm entirely for the legalization.
It being a criminal offense does far more harm than good, and is a waste of a great deal of government money.
