Does it need to run constantly to have all the neat effects or is it like stylexp.
It just changes and then you can shut it off while the effects remane.

Prior to version 5 yes it's an extra process, with version 5 it isn't another process I believe.

It runs all the time. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a pretty good PC. It takes up a decent amount of RAM at times.

Edit: But yes, version 5 does not show up as a process, but it is still running.

It's the way it hooks windows "paint" operations, anyway here my two desktops, Kubuntu ones old (working in XP atm obviously).

Main reason why I stay away from WindowsBlind, I admit some themes are neat but it's not worth the extra resources that I could definately use for games instead.
