Nobody would say a thing if Jessica Alba did it. In fact, we'll all be complaining about how inconsiderate the person who said STFU is.
 
That's because people like watching Jessica Alba's lips and jaw move, they don't actually listen to her.

I'll admit there was a "shut up Flanders" aspect but that's as far as it goes. the fact that it was a religious person made the story funnier. yes. but that's more on the aspect of tebow's request because it was met with the exact opposite tonal response:


"person 1: what a beautiful beautiful sunny day, isnt it just glorious? oh I feel so alive. lets all sing to the majesty of this wonderful and glorious day! ! "what a beautiful MORNIN .."

person 2: SHUT THE **** UP FLANDERS"




but it becomes less funny when you have to explain the funny

Your belief is that there is no god or higher power. Your belief is atheism, which is fine by me. But you choose to flaunt it in everyone's face and make them feel bad if they don't share that belief with you. There are certainly religious zealots who deserve to be made fun of, but there is also a large amount of religious folks who are more tolerable of others' beliefs than you are and don't call them idiots for it.

atheism is not a "belief". it's the absence of belief. there are no tenents to this non belief system. there are no official dogmas, there is no central ideology except "I dont believe"

religious peiople keep trying to label it as a religion or belief system when in actuality it's not at all

please explain what the hell that has to do with anything? I'm sure there's plenty of religious people who are intolerent of other people's views ..like yours in the case of this thread which was obviously more about Tim Tebow than religion

who the **** are you to tell anyone who they can or cant make fun of? just because you hold beliefs that makes them off limits? the goddam entitlement religious people think they're deserving of is absolutely ridiculous. your religion not a sacred cow to anyone but it's followers. stop acting like it is. you have just as much right to be ridiculed as the next person

As Stern said atheism is not a belief. And religion is stupid and those people need to be ridiculed for it. The soon we rid this world of the evil that is religion the better. I'm not an asshole for pointing that out.
 
*Institutionalised religion. Spirituality and certain aspects of religions are useful, or at the very least worth pondering.

Real Christians wouldn't be obnoxious about their faith, nor would they be ashamed of it. I don't advocate what the others did, but Tim was really just asking for it pulling this.
