Its comming to pc!? YES!!! I love silent hill!! Still havent played the third one, so Im downloading this puppy. WHat a great Halloween treat this is!
 
 
I've played SH2, and it was very fun. Did the plot make much sense to anyone though? I was way confused.

I found it a lot easier to understand than the first one. It's just not layed out on a plate for you, you have to piece the bits together and interpret it that way.
 
I think you can interpret depending on waht you believe (god ,ghosts, spirits) i think.
It´s actaully a very adult game not just the violence.
I´m sick of being treated like a 10 year old in games (no disrespect).
No spoilers because the game is worth playing.But Maria could be a ghost of what he would like her to be or she could be a representation of what he would have liked her to be from guilt maybe he has gone mad?
Silent Hill could be purgotory or hell for all that commit violent crimes and are punished for all eternity.
Either way its a great game the sounds and music are spot on.
 
i've no idea what this game is, but it sounds interesting, and the screenshots look good, so gonna dl the demo, cheers for the links guys


Edit: scratch that, doesn't seem all that good now I've looked into it a bit more, oh well :\

I just got this installed and i have a few first impressions:

Graphics: Great! have a look!
Movements: Good! Finally Konami has got their act together.
Sounds: Scary! Good... in fact. Extremely good and scary as ****!

Story line. I don't know about that but from the reviews they have done a very good job at making people piss in their pants (which is quite good)

I will tell you one thing that impressed me the most. The immediate, which is the control of the character. An important part of any game. When i was playing SH2 Directors Cut i was so frustrated by the awkward camera movements in the game. And controlling the character with a keyboard and mouse was not an easy task at first. Enough to put people off by the game and stick with the console title instead. In fact Konami had done a very poor job at streamlining and understanding the controls with a keyboard, at least that is what many people think with the PC title of SH2.

Not so in this case. So many of us who was so frustrated by this that we actually quit the game and later got us a game pad to try again, which i did, will be very happy with this. The game comes with its own configuration utility where you can manage the control structure. Kinda like Metal Gear Solid 2 for the PC, but way simpler to understand and much much better. In MGS2 you would get lost in the configuration and it was almost more of a chore to configure the game controls than to play the game. It got to a point for many people that they decided to use a PS2 controller for the PC in both SH2 and MGS2 just to play the game.

It seems that Konami has taken notice of this and made the control configuration utility much much simpler. And it seems that the awkward camera movements have disappeared. This is just bliss. Pure bliss. This is what i am most happy about! Finally i can start to forget about the shitty controls and actually immerse in the game the way i wanted. Although, SH2 scared the shit out of me, it seems that this title can do the same, and more.

I forgive Konami their earlier transgressions!
 
Silent Hill 3 is one seriously scary game. I played it on the PS2 when it first came out. It's also a very adult game, not just gory or violent, but adult. It tries to tell a mature story, in a realistic manner. Lot's of symbolism too. I love it.

Hehehe... I really shouldnt be playing The Silent Hill series.... *grins*
God I love being scared shatless. Resident Evil for the GCN was annother winner. Wish that would come out for PC.
