Silent Hill 3

Anyone here play the game yet. It was just released in the U.S. last Tuesday. It scared the crap out of me.

nah ive played the secodn one but didnt get far before i moved on to other games

I got it..and heres a few short thoughts:

1. Way too many doors that are not used

2. Enviroments looks so similar to other enviroments that you will get lost and have no sense of direction even with the map.

3. Very little ammo but it doesnt matter because all the enemies can be dodged very easily. It makes them being there seem pointless.

And the most troubling issue:
17 year old girl who fought monsters meets a normal guy then.. blows him off after he tells her he was sent to find her...UHH HEY 17 year old girl, id think you want to stay with the guy so you dont go into the other world again OH WAIT TOO LATE!! and why doesnt she ask why he was sent to find her!? All this lack of common sence makes me hate this game, However I will trudge through this garbage pile of a game so I can at least pretend to have not wasted 50 dollars.

Ive loved (and feared) the silent hill series very much. I got pretty addticted to the second game. I really want SH3, but im on a tight budget. When I get the chance, I'll pick it up.

I thought the game was great. I have to say that the games first enemies aren't to tough, but later on they become very difficult to dodge, and very difficult to fight. The story does not make perfect sense, but it is still very, very good. I do have to say that it's true pretty much every single door in the game has a broken lock, but it doesn't bother me at all. The game will scare the crap out of you, and it's very unsettling. This game as well as SH2 seem to start off slow, but after the first hour or so it really picks up. I just want those damn creppy sirens back from the first game, the ones that came on everytime you switched worlds. I loved those sirens.

aye, i missed those sirens to when playing the second one.... I didn't much like the second one, but i'll still buy the 3rd when i run into it, so that i've got the full collection of them....

I hear people beat it in 8 hours or less their first time through. Im 2 hours into it and im currently pretty far. The game actually got a little better after the anoying subway. If anyone is interested the strategy guide looks like it explains the whole series at the back of the book so you confused fans might want to check it out.
