Check the poster -- check the release date that goes with it.

Opinions anyone on the future thus far?

Looks gay...:P Might turn out good if its done right. I dont want to see another resident evil...

i dont like the 'this town is the last place in the world you wanna go' tag, sounds kinda cheesy, wonder which storyline they are using or if its original

Maybe I'm a fool, but I thought Silent Hill was a 2006 release. This movie isn't even in production yet....I think they're stil working on the script. I tend to follow certain movies and this is one of them...it's not coming out in May. No way. According to this article, http://www.cinescape.com/0/Editorial.asp?this_cat=Movies&obj_id=42726&aff_id=0 , they start filming in February.

It does have a really good writer attached to the script however in Roger Avery. Worked on Pulp Fiction(won and Oscar for it), Resevoir Dogs, and Brotherhoood of the Wolf.

www.cinescape.com has a lot more on the movie.

agreed

guess what! your GONNA see another Resident Evil...I have NO faith in mainstream film production anymore! Also...this HAS to be fake or we would have heard WAY more hype 6 months ago about how it was almost done...or am I too used to video game/new album releases?

if that is real it dont look bad considering that say "konamy tokyo" down and that can mean that the developers will be involved in the development of the movie and sure will make it good

is is fake well I just hope it to be good

In addition to Domino, Hadida’s other 2004 productions include Resident Evil: Apocalypse and The Bridge of San Luis Rey with Robert De Niro, Harvey Keitel and Kathy Bates. Hadida is also planning international co-productions later in the year for a pair of features based on hugely successful Japanese video games - Onimusha and Silent Hill.

But yeah, that poster looks faked.

Paul Anderson and Uwe Boll have distorted your perception. Christopher Gans is a pretty good director.....Brotherhood of the Wolf was excellent. I have faith in this guy. Trust me, he's not gonna make a movie like that ass-clown Paul Anderson.

fake shit...
But Bill Pullman would be a good character for this movie

It could possibly be real
And for all those who have lost faith in video game movies......keep your faith. A good one has got to come along sometime. I would defiantly like to see a Silent Hill movie

It's not the concept of a Video game to movie adaptation that's so bad, it's just when one comes along only the rubbish directors will take them. I mean if you look at the careers of all those directors who have done adaptations they had produced rubbish movies before.

Might be good, if they follow the SH story well.

The game itself should of just been a film.. the game sucked.

The game was great.

And the movie's plot is based on SH2 in case anyone's wondering.

Brilliant, they're using the good one! :D Where'd you hear that?

I'm a fan of SH since its first release. Anyhoo, I liked SH3's plot better but since it would require the plot of SH1 to make sense, guess SH2 is the appropriate choice for a movie in this case. :P

btw, that was the worst english I ever saw in a movie promotion poster! :P (if it's the real poster....which it's not)

In an interview with Roger Avary. Yes, SH2 was definetly the best SH ever.

I enjoyed silent hill 2 and silent hill 4 equally. Both had one hell of a plot. I really hope the silent hill movie doesn't turn out the way resident evil did. Movies usually wreck most things anyway...but because Konami is very watchful on what's going on in the movie..my hopes have not faded yet. When I finally see Silent hill..I want to see someone so scared and disturbed they walk out of the theater...because they never played silent hill 1 (the most scariest one of them all just because of the school.)

As was said....Silent Hill has a great writer, Konami hawking it and a decent director attached to it....all is well for now.
