Does anyone here know Silent Hill and the very good soundtracks from all the games. Which is your favorite ?

the entire silent hill 2 ost is by far the best out of all 4....yet i like room of angels and two evils from silent hill 4 ost

silent hill 3's ost was my least favourite but yeah i liked i want love

akira yamaoka is a genius anyway and he's made some of the best game music ever...he takes great care in what he does and it shows. his ability to produce the games though is questionable...since he took hold of the head seat, the game series has slipped...silent hill 3 and 4 are nowhere near the masterpiece the original 2 were

Silent Hill 2 was the best, but with bad graphics

SH2 had very good graphics when it first came out on the PS2.

Yeah, SH2 soundtrack is the best. Theme Of Laura, Promise and True are all excellent songs. It sounds more like it was produced for retail sale rather than a game.

The first had the best theme IMO. Though I would say the second has the best overall; all the industrial noise from the first gets a bit irritating on it's own.

CREMATOR speaks the truth, Silent Hill 4 was ? terrible, awsome graphics and some parts were amazing, but others were crapi. Silent Hill 2 is the best.

i love silent hill 1 and 2 equally...and i HONESTLY can't decide which i prefer

i loved silent hill 3 but in a different way to the first two...it was the most disturbing of all the series and silent hill 4 was good but had a very 'meh' feeling about it

i'm looking forward to see what they can pull together for next generation...and i'd LOVE it if all the original team were to come back and work on the new installment...that would just make me die with happyness

...and as for the guy who said the first had a crappy theme...i loved it...thought the sound of the first game was the most unique and very badalamenti-esque...favourite song of the first soundtrack was 'other side'...had a swinging feel to it yet at the same time an evil edge to the tune that i can't quite place my finger on

That would make me much more happier compared to when HL2 was released.

I dont think Siren 2 is in the works and I dont think it's the same guy (although the theme is quite similiar)

yes it was the same guy...keiichiro toyama who directed the original silent hill and went on to produce the second and i don't think has anything to do with it anymore

shame because he hit suspense right on the head with the original...never been so scared by anything like i had that game

Silent Hill 2 wasn't as scary as the original Silent Hill (which is the scariest in the series in my opinion) but it had a better story and more realistic characters that drew you into their world.
