In memory of those who lost their lives on September 11th. God bless.

i think its about time to drop it guys, everyone has their tradgedies, at least these people could jump out of the window and die isntantly, rather than being tortured or starving to death. the whole "thread for silence" thing is a bit of a joke

It's still 10:23PM September 10th, 2004

I'll make as much noise as I please.

and besides, you're making a topic to discuss silence.

The same Silence Thread came up last year, and it was closed because it didn't work in the context of the forum.

And, not to be rude, but the whole Russian incident is overshadowing 9/11 for me. ;(

However, I will give the victims of both tragedies my respects. Here's to their memory:

Yep nw909, if you would know what it feels like to lose someone due to terrorism, I bet you would feel much different. your a joke. If I were a mod as of now I would close the thread since people cant be mature enough to go along with it.

It's been exactly one year since the event. Just so you know.

nw909, it is past midnight on the east coast where the event happened.

And even though this thread probably won't work out, my thoughts are with all the families who lost someone in that tragedy. ;(

I think most people can appreciate the topic starter's intentions, but stuff like this is usually an instant target for really bad jokes and dumbass comments about a really horrific event.

R.I.P. to all the folks in the wrong place at the wrong time.

that was something bad
many people die and the big towers gone
and I never has been inside that towers but the human lost was worse

I hope osama bin laden be dead

Oh yeah, it's 9/11 again. But that's really becoming old news by now.

yay lets drink beer!!! erm... i mean... 'mourn' over the .. deaths.. thats right :)

You mean three years since the event, right?

... or am I in some parallel universe where 2004-2001=1?

I haven't been here that long, but I'm pretty sure he is referring to last year's thread in dedication to 9/11. And not to dishonor anybody who died, but I don't see how they deserve a thread anymore than some random guy who gets shot in a mugging or what have you. Where's his thread eh? The whole 9/11 thing is rather blown out of proportion by the US government/media.

Er....ya....hehe, I have no idea why I wrote that. I was just thinking it's the anneversary and somehow that came out as 1 year. Oops. :o

THe only bad thing about 9/11 was that the Swedens foreignminister Anna
Lindh was murdered in a knifestabbing.

Death to America!

In memory of the iraqis that lost and lose their lives as a result of the American siege.

In memory of Anna Lindh.

Oh, do I feel like an ass now.
How could I forget that America killed all the iraqis?
In memory of Iraq.

Sure it was bad... but to keep dragging it on like this? Nah... lets move on.

It was a nice gesture, but this thread is starting to go bad, so rather than leave it open and end up warning/banning a bunch. I'm locking it.
