Sims 2 went gold - and no one noticed.

Heh, cool...I guess this is one of those things that creeps up on you.

Should be fun to play the Sims 2. I've explained why before, and can't be bothered to again.
 
I'm going to make the people from the forum and put them all in one house and see what happens! Of course none of them would have jobs and all would have computers.
 
the only thing good about the sims is seeing how many times you can get one person married in an hour.
 
No one noticed because no one cares :/
 
The announcement went out within the last 2 hours so really nobody noticed :p Plus, most people who are excited about it already told their favorite fan site, because Sims and Gordon just don't mix :p

It looks okay, might give it a go at some point if it gets good reviews.
 
It's coming out Sept. 14, the same day as Fable. I know which game I'm getting.

Well wether you want to admit it or not, the sims was the best selling pc game of all time, and was fun for a while. Sims 2 looks cool and I will get it, so call me girly if you want, I really dont care.

Now if HL2 and Sims 2 came out the same day, there would be no question :D

The game looks fun, and much less monotonous than the original. Hopefully without all the overpriced expansions this time.
 
I like the sims, and I was seriously thinking about getting The Sims 2. But considering I'm on a budget and Fable is coming out the same day, I have to make sacrifices.

Its like deciding on whether to make a few simulated suffer in The Sims 2 or a whole world of simulated people in Fable suffer. It's no choice at all.

Sims don't make love, they make what's called "Woo hoo" (And lots of it, if I'm playing). The details of what precisely Woo Hoo is is left to the imagination, but it involves lots of giggling under the covers -- and at one point one of my Sims made a "Honk honk" noise

I just think the eventually dying this is lame. Hopefully we can cut that out. As for the game itself, idk wheter I'll be purchasing it, or "getting" it. ;)
 
Not surprising. The "Sims" to me was never a good game, and probably won't in the recent future.

Hell after installing the first sims on my hard drive i had to burn it(the harddrive) and send the ashes into the sun. The game itself, I returned for my money. Which after yelling at the manager of EB, I got double.

So in short: Sims 2, another waste of card board boxery, and my potential coaster of the year.
 
Damnit, I would have gone right on not noticing too, if it weren't for this thread. :frown:

No one noticed here, because this is a HL2 forum. I'm excited about Sims 2. Plenty of other people are excited as well. I would expect Sims 2 to once again be the best selling game of all time. Even Half-Life can't compare to the number of Sims games sold.
 
I bet Sims 2 outsells Half-Life 2 cause of the amount of people that buy the original sims.

Technically yes she is, but I bet she isn't the person you're thinking of.

The chick in his avatar is Keira Knightley, who played the decoy to Padmé Amidala (a.k.a Natalie Portman), for the simple fact that the two looked very similar.

She also played the chick in Pirates of the Caribbean too :p

Oh noes! Not another Sims! Well, at least I dumped my ex who was addicted to it (and it's subsequent expansions nearly 2 years ago!), so I will neither have to give up my computer so she can play them, or buy the different packs for her (like I did everytime we fell out :|). Yay!
 
Yep, looks like the PCG thing really is The Sims 2, and not HL2 like someone speculated. Even though it will hardly be revolutionary like PCG wrote :/
 
Too bad fable is only for X-Box or I might get it... too bad
