I love the GN, I read one before the movie came out and I am reading another one.

Any sequel sounds like a good sequel to me....although a Sin City trilogy would be pretty cool. :D

So...any ideas how I can sneak into an 18?
Going to see League Of Gentlemen Apocalypse this weekend. Wanted to see Sin City. :(

Stand on someone else shoulders, wear a long hat and coat. but seriously, if you look old enough (16+) they wont ask... depends if you get some guy on the tills/ticket rippin' thats a teenager and dont really care.

I just bought a ticket for Star Wars and walked into Sin City. I didn't even need stealth. About 5 cinema attendants saw me and they just didn't care. And I'm 15...and look it too.

Ah Sin City....I absolutely love that film...I'd watch it again, but it's no longer showing here :(

So how many stories are there? I heard only 1 sequel is in the works.

Hmm lemme try to remember here:

The Hard Goodbye
A Dame to Kill For
The Big Fat Kill
That Yellow Bastard
Family Values
Booze, Broads, and Bullets
Hell and Back

They're might've been one more...I forget. Hell and Back is my personal favorite. Johnny Depp was supposed to play the main character Wallace when Rodriguez was gonna put the story in the film. Hopefully we'll see Hell and Back and Family Values.

There are 13 books and RR plans to translate all of them to film:
1) The Hard Goodbye
2) A Dame to Kill For
3) The Babe Wore Red and Other Stories (The Customer is Always Right (The opening sequence of the film) and And Behind Door Number 3?)
4) Silent Night
5) The Big Fat Kill
6) That Yellow Bastard
7) Daddy's Little Girl
8) Lost, Lonely and Lethal
9) Sex & Violence
10) Just Another Saturday Night
11) Family Values
12) Hell and Back (a Sin City Love Story)
13) Booze, Broads, & Bullets

That is a list I found on a site, I have only read the first one so don't ask me about them :p

EDIT: BB&B is a compilation of all the short stories from The Babe Wore Red, Silent Night, Daddy's Little Girl, LL&L, Sex & Violence and Just Another Saturday Night. So in theory there are 7 books.

But that doesn't mean 13 seperate movies of course. Half of those were already covered in the first movie.

I know. At the moment, there is only one planned sequel that I assume will cover A Dame To Kill For, Family Values and Hell and Back. BB&B has loads of mini-stories that would make quite a bitty film. I imagine those stories will be released as perhaps 10 minute extras on the DVDs. The one thing that has confused me is that RR expressed interest in filming SC2 and 3 back-to-back, so maybe Frank Miller is writing some more stories as we speak which will be released around the same time as the next films. Otherwise, I don't know where the stories will be coming from.

Just back from seeing it.

A very good movie. Dark, brooding and brutal. Very original and shouldnt ever see a movie like it again.

A great cast list and the males definately had the voices for the internal dialogue thoughts...like Max Payne. Over the top bits and even though it is dark, it had elements of humour in it aswell...

All I can say, is that it was nice to see Elijah Wood in a genuinly creepy role.

Just saw it tonight, awesome film! Pretty brutal but equally funny, and very cleverly done...i laughed at the nut-ripping scene too, but not as much as at the guy with the arrow thing..say no more there :)

Anyone know what the music is thats playing in the club when hartigan goes in and sees nancy dancing?

EDIT: absurd by fluke, msn came in handy :\

It was all you people on here that got me excited about this film, and i was utterly unimpressed with the film! Absolutely wank. Kill Bill with a different name and some fancy camera tricks....

I think it's because it was narrated by the character on screen and not just spoken out. It didn't even have good fighting, it had blood for sure.

I'm guessing you don't like film noir then. And what does fighting have to do with it? They're fighting criminals, not 300 ninjas and samurais with belt fed machine guns and katanas. I mean if you want fighting, like you said, go see Kill Bill. I'm sorry you didn't like it though, your missing out.

I dunno why i don't like it. I didn't even know it was gory because none of the trailers i watched had any gore in them at all. I guess i was expecting something different than what it really was...thing is, its the only film i don't like that Bruce Willis is in, i even thought Hostage was quite good!.

It's nothing like Kill Bill. I hated both those movies.

Thats pretty funny, cause for many its one of the only films( recently) that actually lived up to and surpassed the trailer. But we all have our opinions:)

Check it out, there's two more in the work:D

I thought he fit it so well!

The movie was absolutely great. RR did such a great job transfering the feel of the comic.

Nah, Dark Horizons confirmed only one sequel is in the works.

Rodrigquez HAS to get Johnny Depp as Wallace for Hell and Back. Depp is perfect for the role. And of course Clive Owen should come back for Family Values and A Dame to Kill For.
