my monitor has a single broken blue pixel. any solutions?

You could look up your manufacturers dead pixel policy, but most won't do anything for a single dead pixel.

Is single dead pixel even noticeable to naked eyes? Not a wise-ass question, just wondering. :upstare:

Nonetheless, contact manufacturer support for advice, there nothing you can do to fix it.

The single pixel is dark blue, and its in the middle of the screen. most inconvienient

You can try to massage it gently or do a screen program that is specifically to revive dead pixels. But they are just attempts. I believe pixels get stuck when the voltage is wrong and isn't telling the pixel to block the back light for one of the sub pixels (red, blue, green filters) or whole pixel so you end up with a different color or white.

And yes they are very visible unless the rest of the screen is also the same color. ;)

do what asus saus. i've massaged out all the dead pixels i found with my monitor and now its perfectly dead pixel-free. but i may have gotten lucky with this one :p

massaging doesnt seem to work, ill try the programs later.

You will all stand before me corrected.
A dead pixel is a dead pixel, and cannot be revived, massaged, or rubbed; only RMA.
A stuck pixel however can be fixed, you must know what it is that you're doing.

Good Luck.

If it's colored it sounds like a stuck pixel. Dead pixels are usually white on TN panels and black on higher end panels. A pixel shifting program might fix it.

to clarify, its a stuck pixel.

Ill watch the video and come back with some conclusions

Already tried, doesnt seem to have any effect. Tried a few times

I have one - it's really really tiny. There's not a chance in hell I can touch that pixel without touching, what, a hundred in any given direction around it without risking puncturing the display. It's so small, I notice it only rarely, but it'll kill the immersion in a good game. I'll try some of this software too and report back.

woah - that jscreenfix window is a seizuremobile.
