I hate that kind of stupid parent...why assume the school is going to teach a through and decent sex education?

The school probably taught them all they needed to know in any case, they were probably just skiving classes or making smart alec comments in sex ed classes.

The moral of the story is:
If you make smart alec comments in sex ed classes, you're going to fall pregnant when you're 12 years old.

What's wrong with giving them money? Nothing, because the children (who are hardly to blame) warrant support, which their still-schooling mothers can't provide.

Doesn't mean I have to be happy about it though.

But as for being "less deserving"- the mother blames the same government (or more accurately the educational system) that's bailing her and her daft kids out of certain bankruptcy- well, that's just taking the biscuit. Feel glad you live in a country that gives handouts to the promiscious and the ignorant so that their children might live properly, you bunch of ungrateful louts.

Besides, just because they're strangely inarticulate (well, they are very young) and their mother is a complete idiot doesn't necessarily mean they'll be bad parents!

Sure it increases the probability of it, but hey, maybe having half a country thinking their family is completely insane will shake them up a bit.

There's nothing to differentiate between a single mother of 14 and a single mother of 25. They both need to care for their child. You can't just decide "Oh, this person will probably be a bad mother. Therefore she shouldn't get any money, or she should get her kid taken off her".

I could start going into the concept of responsibility, but it'd be a waste of time because the issue has never been nailed. Blame the parents? Blame society? Blame a kid with no concept of contraception? Or maybe all three?

And I'm sorry to say that if the single mother of 25 had a child as an accident- and then supported her parent's belief that it wasn't either of their faults- I wouldn't be very sympathetic of her plight either. But it's not fair to make such a comparison because a 14 year old is markedly stupider- for want of a better word- than an adult.

So neither of us can really compare them- but I will say that the age of consent is 16 for a reason. I do hope their mother has a better matriachal sense than her sense of accountability, because it'll be difficult for them- despite all the government funding.

And, well said, you shouldn't presume people are anything other than what they are because of their background or home. But these people are smokers (unless they only light up for the novelty value when on TV) and they are, by their own admission, badly educated and ignorant blame-shifters.

It's tragic, and it pains me to admit it, but some people need to plan their lives more thoroughly. I'm sure those babies will be very happy to know they were accidents. Unless their parents destroy all the relevant internet sites and all the newsreels.

the chav mother of the three girls probably didnt have much of a childhood either ...she was aprox 21 when she had her first kid ...far too young IMHO

I agree with a lot of what you are saying but the point I'm making is that they haven't done anything to justify not giving them benefits that other single mothers are entitled to.

I'm not saying it's necessarily wrong to be a parent in your early 20's it's just most times they're not psychologically prepared

there's a parenting and there's good parenting ..I just think people in their early 20's are ill-equipped to raise children oh sure they can be quite capable but they've barely had time to grow up when they're all of the sudden thrust into parenting (most often not by choice). Parenting is tough ..good parenting is even tougher. I'm in my mid 30's, my wife and I planned it, we've both had extensive experience working with children (my wife is a child behaviouralist) yet even with all of that there are times when only our our experience prevents us from making the wrong choice.

Oh I fully understand and respect that, it's just that I often don't think other single mothers are deserving of the sort of handouts they get- but the sad fact is we can't punish irresponsible imbeciles without letting their children suffer, so it's a Catch-22 situation. Hell, a name like T-Jay? They've suffered enough...

It's just that I know a family friend with two teenage children (although I believe one of which recently became an adult). She works part time, and because of that she gets a pittance of child benefit and no Jobseeker's Allowance while she's contractually tied to a poorly paid job (less than £10k a year).

While shag-happy retards with no interest in work (not that these young mothers will necessarily end up like that) can happily sit down doing nothing because they've fathered/mothered a few mewling shit-factories.

That's not right.

They are just leaching, taking from the government, not providing a thing.

Think, their kids will most likely grow to be useless pieces of trash
They will smoke and drink heavily, the hospitals will have to deal with their usless corpses.
They take over £600 in benefits...........for doing nothing.

Damn that pisses me off, i would say let them and their children starve on no benefit.........but of course the children being inocent means you have to care for them, damn system.
They will help overpopulation, they will pollute, they will eat food.

What are they going to provide?
Nothing.........even if they get a job in mcdonalds there are better people you could employ, i've seen chav types at part time places of work when i was at school..........they are useless.

In theory like a usless peice of trash is cleared off the floor of the house they should be removed.
