No, nothing in particular. It was for a conceptart.org daily sketch topic, "Blood collector", and I thought of a superhuman guy who killed people and used a device to directly transfuse their blood into him and thus gain more power.
 
A futuristic space trooper bloke. I think "overkill" fits this picture best, it was looking good around the half-hour mark but then it just got worse as I started adding more stuff to it :(

But apart from the extremely dodgy and lazy eyes, I don't think it's too bad. About 45-50 minutes in biro :)

hmmm most of them look good, but there not very origenal character designs..

lol, three weeks since i posted that and i only just noticed the bellygun thing.
 
Kinda "meh"-ish. But what ever... I drew it awhile ago...

Theres alot of things wrong with it, like his head being kinda big and him being skinny and all but I didnt feel like redrawing it. I also drew it from the top of my head without looking at anything so thats mostly why.

I love SWAT guys! That looks pretty good, there are some propotrional errors but I like the attention to detail. Detail is probally what I suck at...

All of these are from my art folio for this year (doing childhood and imagination, hence the cartoony aspect of them).



(Guess which game i've been playing :p)He's only a kid riding the tiger so he's supposed to be small in comparison to everything else especially his armor (think Calvin from "Calvin & Hobbes") Still need to finish the tigers leg but oh well.

Well... Just did this. Its an army guy. Its really AH_Viper from the 'iPod Yourself' thread, but I gave him boots :). Well, the boots are kinda weird looking but still...

Wow, I like it. The shading isnt too bad. Its actually pretty good. But it could be a bit better in some spots. You should try drawing the rest of him. :)

I like the face on the second; the wrinkles and deep skin tone just add to the aging effect.

But the first... errr.... It is supposed to have the longest torso ever right?
 
hehe, yea i know what you mean with the first one but that was my very first lession of character design on my game design course, but i think i imporved quite alot over the few months, the old man is one of the later ones from a lecture towards the end.

Very cool. The anatomy is a bit funky, but they are very neat designs.

I'm still searching for my own style. Something between Cartoon and real-life. Never got any anatomy- or drawinglessons in that matter. Just doing it because I find it amusing generating characters, sceneries and story's that don't exist. Like a fairytale in a way. Keeps the child in me young.
I'm glad the idea and design is communicated...afterall that's the whole-point of concept-art. Isn't it?
I'll have another one in my head. Now I only need the time to execute it.
