What is Unknown Lifeforms about
Unknown Lifeforms is a mod based on the world development in the 27th century. During the 27th century there is a non-religious movement (the atheists as they call themselves) which is exterminating everything that has got anything to do with religion. Religion becomes forbidden and whoever practises it gets prosecuted. Not everybody agrees with this new world order so some kept the sacred books safe because, in their eyes, this is history.

Trying to safeguard these religious books isn't an easy job as the modern world have high technological devices that is unmatchable with what the religious people have.

It turned this way as the people wanted world peace. And as religion has caused a lot of wars, eliminating religion was, so they thought, the best way to eliminate having a new war. What they thought was the best thing to do, became the biggest mistake in history. They wanted world peace, but got the new world war instead.

What are we looking for

We are looking for a skilled texture artist to skin some models. You can also join the forums if you are interested or want to have a chat with the rest of the team to see how the guys are. :wink:

Here are the models, a Glock 17 is coming up soon as well.
(More futuristic weapons is coming later)

Isn't it called a "texture artist" that "textures" weapons ...

Modellers should unwrap their own models.

The reason why you don't have dedicated model unwrappers is the same reason why you don't have people employed to clean up dog shit with their tongues.

Texturing the model and making the model is two different jobs.

Look at gaming studios, they have a texture artist that work on the models that are created.

It's not always two different jobs. I know several studios where (some of) the modellers texture their own meshes.

Whether that's true or not, it shouldn't be the job of the texture ARTIST to unwrap the model.
 
Unrwapping we can take care of. But not the texturing.
 
Where I work texturing and modelling are done by the same artist. Texturing someone elses UV layout is hell.

Hehe, well you are kinda right on that one. I give up.

But we are still looking talented people to join.
