Sky+water

Whenever I try having water with a sky over it, it always either reflects a purple wall, or a corrupted bitmap. When I don't have any skies, this problem goes away. Any ideas why or how to fix it?
 
I had the same problem, seems like if you have big areas with water youll need more than one env_cubemaps or is it just on mine? Cause I had those pink reflections and when I moved the cube or made another one it disappeared.

Sorry to post on an old thread but.

I think i've had the same problem. I'm making a map of my local leisure centre, ergo there is a lot of water. When the light shines in through the window it causes all the textures on the walls to go very dark and purply. Plus the size of my map is 7 meg and there is barely any objects on the room.

The room does not seem to be lighted correctly. There are random patterned shadows over all the surfaces.

Will extra env_cubemaps entity's really make a difference?
