Skyline - Trailer

That looks to be the worst thing I have ever seen.
 
That looks more like a VG trailer rather than a movie trailer...
 
Looks like a movie adaptation of Prey. Needs more spirit walking, bow wielding, leather wearing protagonist

Yup, Stephen Hawking was the first one to warn us about aliens.

He didn't warn us about the dangers of communicating with Aliens, he did tell us though that you are more likely to kill Aliens by flinging faeces at them rather than resorting to logical violence
 
I still think when Aliens come, it will be so ****ing fast and hard we will be caught with out pants down. they will be so far away using weapons that are very efficient and not mechanical at all in the sense that we use steel.

Kinda cool idea, but this looks like B movie material
 
also i was expecting a 2011 release which means no hype at all

Just because the movie isn't filled with A-listers doesn't automatically mean it will be bad. District 9 was a great film, and its main (human) star, Sharlto Copley, hardly had acted in films previously. I'm not saying that Skyline will be great, but I think its wrong to judge a film solely on the actors.

DIRECTORS are one thing, Writers are another. but yeah this looks like a rental movie

I wasn't saying my faith in this movie is rendered by what type (meaning A-list or B-list or whatever) of actors are in it. I'm saying that these actors are pretty terrible from where I've seen them before. If I believed in the way you thought I meant, I couldn't possibly enjoy any indie out there (well, at least most of them anyway).

meh even without knwing that the trailer just looked dumb...Battle of L.A though looks kinda cool.
 
The "DIRECTORS" are the ones who transcribe the writers work into the visual world, so if you have a good script and bad director/s then you have a problem, the directors controls the flow of pace, which edits of a scene to use and etc. and then upon that, your actors? are they going to give your film a bit of viewing pressure or rip your eyes out horrible cheese.

it all depends.

ah sorry. Misunderstood you. I didn't recognize any of the actors, even after looking at their imdb pages. Guess I don't watch enough tv/movies.

For the record, I love Mortal Kombat. Yes its very campy, but I still love it. But yeah, besides that film (and Event Horizon), Paul W. S. Anderson isn't a stellar director.
 
This will be on my radar, but at the very bottom. The Latest/Next Star Trek will probably be ten times worth the wait though

Paul W. S. Anderson had nothing to do with Requiem or this movie.
 
I loved the part with the humans being sucked up into the spaceships.

I thought there was 2 photos and no trailer for BoLA, have you got full access to IMDB?
 
Looked it up and it's called Battle: Los Angeles, not Battle of Los Angeles.
However, I'm keeping an eye on it, seems like an interesting premise, and the rumours I've read about the aliens and their technology if true seem interesting.

Last week we posted a trailer for Skyline, a relatively low budget movie from the Strause Brothers (Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem) that seemed to come out of nowhere to build some decent buzz at this year’s Comic-Con. It appears that Sony was caught off guard as well, and they are threatening legal action against the movie because it could diminish the box office numbers for their own alien invasion movie Battle: Los Angeles, which is due to hit theatres some four months later.

2nd trailer was obviously better than the 1st. I'm a sucker for sci fi especially when its during our own timeline

Yeah, i'm slightly pumped to see this. Looks fun.

Also, is it just me, or does every Skyline trailer have static and audio clipping all over the place?
