SLi and Dual Monitors

Ok, got my second BFG 7800GT today... Works fine, huge boost in FPS

But i can't get it so i can use both monitors together... its bugging me, when i start up the computer it shows the ASUS loading screen and all those other fancy numbers, then when windows kicks in the second monitor goes on standby. I go into the advanced display proporties and try to set up the dual monitors in the monitor settings. It will let me switch over to the second monitor, but then that leave my first useless. How do i set it up?

I can feel it now... you're all gonna turn around and tell me i can't use dual monitors with SLi... I'd be majorly pissed off if that be the case, cant live without dual monitors anymore!!

Oh, and my second BFG has a very nice HSF on it... different to the usualy shiney silver looking one with the green stick on top. It's all copper with a plastic cover and a metal plate on the cover with BFG 7800GT OC written on it. And the fan is semi-transparent and its all fitted on with some big metal thing on the back of the card (i sound like a n00b but i dunno what its called )

you got both monitors hooked up to one card? of so, try putting one on the other. if you already have done this, then try putting both on one.

I hate to say this but i just googled "dual monitors & sli" and the responses I was getting wern't too good. People seem to disable SLi and then run there 2nd monitor. Best to check it out though. I'll also have a look later on.

I had a quick look online while i had a break at college, from the sounds of it you can't run dual monitors with SLi on... but witht he new drivers you don't need to rebbot your computer everytime you turn SLi on/off... so it's not so bad i guess. Hope they fix this in a future driver. Seems kind of silly to have 2 graphics cards and not be able to have 2 monitors.
