Man... this season is so horrible!
I love Smallville... been in love with it since the beginning no matter what other people have said. But this latest season is just god awful. I can't pinpoint any one particular thing, but it's a plethora of problems.
I for one hate Kara as a new character. Especially considering the way they make her act and stuff.
I also don't even know what the hell the over-arcing plot of this season is.
The last episode I saw was Blue, and that episode almost made me throw up in disgust. Especially that subplot revolving around that news editor guy.
The creators can never seem to take a firm position on Kryptonians and their behavior and distaste of humans. I have heard over the course of the series countless accusations of inferior human emotions and behaviors and stuff, and yet when they show kryptonians, they behave exactly like humans do on their own world, except even more sappy and ridiculous.
I also think it ridiculous that in the events shown in this season how human behavior and stuff is all foreign to kryptonians, yet people like Kara adapt to everything as if they have been human all their lives.
I for one HATE the whole kryptonian plot and wish they'd just stick to better storylines, especially since they don't seem to be doing anything with the current story. I hope I'm not the only one.
The thing I liked about smallville and this representation of superman, is that it was as far from superman as they could get, especially since I don't like superman, but I liked this series. Now they start throwing in all these contrived superman plot tie ins and it's driving me mad.
