Right, im getting pissed off now.

Ive tried 3 or 4 times of atershave and about 3 body gels. I smell great for about 20 mins, then the smell just...dissapears, and all i can smell is my Sure anti-perspirent (yes Sure is mainly a woman's make, but ***k it, the 'for men' stuff smells good and WORKS).

So, how much aftershave/cologne do you guys use? I mean, you walk past some guys when you go out and you can SMELL them before they walk past. FFS what is the secret? I shower everytime before i go out, clean clothes etc. I just spray 3 times around my neck, deoderant and im done. Hell, is there a 'lasting' difference between cologne and aftershave???

Grrr!!!!

Aftershave typically fades quickly for me, too. I'm not sure why. One of my colleagues seems to have a permanent Joop smell to him, though.

I use deoderant, Axe body spray, and cologne....a couple sprays....i smell great

I use axe body spray, and deoderant, that's it. The smell doesn't kick peoples ass, but for the girls that you sit next to..they smell it.

Just because you don't smell it doesn't mean no-one else does.

:x

I prefer to smell like nothing. Maybe a slight smell of fresh clean clothes, but I'd never wear cologne or any body spray.
TBH it's bloody offensive when the person next to you is choking you with their smell (more so when it's BO.)
A little bit is fine and dandy but I hate when people over do it...

you guys wear aftershave? lol ..old spice or Hi Karate?

hint ..get a good razor, you wont need aftershave

I love the way people say 'BO' like they don't have an odour.

Has anyone else noticed that different people smell different?

I'm the same way. My deodorant and body wash is enough smell for me.

Axe smells horrible. I've tried/smelled all kinds.

The one I have, it's blue, and the girls don't think it smells too bad, so what do I care! :p

Axe? *blegh* Doesnt work/last. Its for teenagers anyway haha.

Might just wonder into town tomorrow and do the whole 'girl thing' and try and find a decent cologne. Smelling good = no problem. Smelling good over night = problem.

My deodorant ensures i dont stink even after clubbing. I just want that 'whiff' girls love when you walk past.

To be honest, I think the point about that other people can still smell it is a good point. My colleague never can smell the aftershave he's wearing. It's acclimatisation.

I had some cologne that was like that..but it was for old guys, sadly. "Stetson" or something. Guh.

Regular body smell and BO are pretty different though dude :O

As for people smelling different, yes, I think most everyone has noticed :). I've been friends with a group of five guys since I was six, and it sounds ****ing weird (me, not the idea) but we all have distinct smells, even the two brothers, that we can identify no worries from clothes etc.

I think I'm too tolerant of the "scent-free" type people who swear they're allergic to such colognes, so I never wear that stuff.

I have some people have bought me but I never wear it. My deoderant is scented though, but I don't think it really is a noticable smell.

I shower every other day and only wear deodorant. I am least pansy in this thread.

meh you dont need deorodants

smell like a man!
I once lasted a month whitout showering and the smell was all over the house
and girls? well maybe at first they will say
girl:"yuck you smell horrible, yuck you stink.....(and them they will say)....and that turns me on! ride me my wild monkey!"

so dont give a shit about "smelling good" and start smelling like a man

I use Diesel (the brand, not the fuel), 3 squirts. If you want lasting fragrance (eg. on a night out) give your top a squirt too. The scent stays in there for hours instead of just evaporating away (like it does off skin).

I leave a bottle in the car glovebox, because you never know.

Riiiiiiiight...

And Old Spice is just..for old men.

One of my roommates told me she'd come with me tomorrow to got hunting for a decent aftershave. She has a nack for finding decent ones apparently :S

Slightly offtopic, but if your a blade man (is there any other kind :dozey: ) then I wholly recommend this companies shaving products:-

http://www.realshaving.com/

you can usually pick them up at Boots in the UK (not sure about overseas) may seem a bit pricy, but the stuff lasts and you get a good shave with it.

As for the aftershave debate, as someone else says you aclimate to the scent long before it wears off. Dynasty try Dolce @ Gabbana it's not bad and not overly expensive. You should also try out Antaeus by Chanel, it's quite a dark deep AS, but it lasts.

ehm, of course everyone has a 'body odor.' When I say BO I mean the smell of sweat and ass that you can smell from 5 feet away that makes your eyes tear up and makes you want to shove the person in a shower stall and show them how to f*cking clean themselves. Srsly ಠ_ಠ

smell like a man!

As disgusting as that is, awesome. Sigged.

I wear something different to bed, because the only people that will smell me is me and my GF. It makes her happy so I don't care, but in the morning when I leave to work I sure as hell don't go smelling like I was rolling around in a field of flowers, berries, and perfume all night.

Be careful with female reccomendations, yhey are sometimes extremely useful, and sometimes extremely not useful.

Some people in my Anatomy class were talking about deodorant being harmful in the long run because it can cause disease to clog pores for extended periods of time and prevent sweating, /shrug, I still put some on if I know I'll be around company

Apparently I smell of Lacoste, hairspray and Toni&Guy heat defence spray all the time, but I can't smell it, I'm used to it!

I once caught a whiff of some nice smelling bears at the zoo, so I jumped into their pit. When I landed I said

"I immediately regret this decision!"

Because the bears got angry. A bear fight ensued.

I hate that, like if you actually stink from your BO...You can't tell most of the time....and nobody tells you, so how the hell do you fix it when you don't know?!? D:
