Snowing!

It was snowing yesterday, and I went off the road at about 40 ish. It's not snowing anymore though.

Snowed over here a lot yesterday. This morning it was really snowy but as the day progressed, rain got added into the mix so a lot of it washed away. It's expected to snow again tonight.

We just got that epic ice storm here in MA. Today we got 2" of snow. I think on Friday we will get 6" and a few days after that we are getting 12" at least.

Had snow in Bury a few weeks ago, but I've already posted about that. It seems like no one else in and around Manchester got snow, just Bury.

Snow discussion, who is it snowing for, and, if you know, how much?

that's funny. the first thing i thought when i saw the thread title is "i wonder if he/she is in BC" because, as oyu know, it just started snowing pretty heavily today
i'm on the north shore and it's still coming down pretty hard right now

It's snowing so I can go ski when my exams are over. February is really close.

We've gotten every taste of winter possible. Sleet, freezing rain, snow, icing, slush... A ****ing blizzard is coming tomorrow... Hopefully school will be cancelled and I can sit at home and play L4D. :D

No. It will not. I won't get my hopes up. The most we could get out of the entire year is one or two inches.

It snows underneath rocks?

We tend to get one day of snow a year in London, and it very quickly becomes ugly, grey mush. What's funny is whenever it snows everyone freaks out and everything grinds to a halt. Snow day is like a national holiday here or something.

I remember last year the forecast called for two inches. There was pandemonium.

Its been rally foggy here... does that count?

We usually have extremely mild winters down in Devon - as in 8 to 12C daytime temperatures right through to February and frost on a handful of days a year.

So this year, although it hasn't snowed at all (although everywhere else in the UK has had snow...), it's been really cold, icy and foggy. The other day it was -4 when I got to work and the car park was like an ice rink. And the warmest it got all day was 1.5C.

Coldest start to December for 30 years apparently. After the wettest, dullest summer on record, it's really quite shit. Saving grace is that it's barely rained at all for months.

Where I live, we have never had any snow, and I don't think there ever will be any snow!:flame:

Yeh and Woodhey had the rest of the week of for it, we didn't have one bastard snow day during my five year stay there, ridiculous. Stopped me from going into uni though, the trams and busses were just ****ed completely.

Snowed a bit about two weeks ago, only a thin layer that melter after like three hours. Haven't seen any since.

California is struggling to produce snow; we get torrential downpours of rain instead.

Anybody up for mailing me some snow?

Usually it only snows in February or even March here, but this year...well we have over a foot so far :|

Pssh snow. Who wants snow when you can go to school in a tshirt and shorts like i did today? :bounce:

Southern California. It's not snowing where I live; it's raining like crazy. But the local mountains are getting feet and feet of snow, so I'm really looking forward to snowboarding this weekend!!!

Where I live, we don't cancel anything for a moderate amount of snow. If it is more than 8 inches, then perhaps. We really only cancel anything when it starts icing over. I have some amazing pictures of an ice storm a few years ago.

Here in LI, it has HUEG chunks of snow coming down last night, but it didn't last the morning. I think I'll get more snow either friday or sunday.

Global warming doesn't exist. It was 13 degrees 2 days ago

We got about a foot of snow just last week. However that all cleared up when I realized I was living in Florida.

It has snowed at least three feet here so far and it's not even January yet.

We've been sitting in just over 6" of snow here. The temperatures have been relatively low (28F now), so it's crusty and icy now. There's more snow coming over the next two days too. The ski resorts will open this weekend. F*ck YES! Also, my computer is running at 31C per core after full-load folding with the new SMP client for several days straight.
