Thought I'd pop a question to you experts:

Wireless keyboards and mice...

I know they used to be the scurge but I've been hearing that things have started improving recently and was wondering will any of you be using wireless equipment or is it still a load of poo?

If I wanted to connect my box up to my big ass TV it would be quite useful to sit a fair distance away, without having to rewire any peripherals. Is wireless a way to go or will you guys be using cords all the way?

Wireless technology has gotten much better of the past few years. If you're doing the TV thing, definitely go wireless. For the same quality (reponsiveness) keyboard and mouse, it will cost a bit more.

Just an estimate but a $50 mouse would be more like $65-70 for same quality wireless

Yep, wireless is the way to go for you.

btw, I hate you for having a widescreen tv that you can play hl2 on. :p

I prefer Logitech for wireless components. Be sure to get a rechargable mouse, cause that red light drains batteries at light speed.

The Logitech MX700 is an excellent mouse.

Get the Logitech MX Cordless Duo. Great mouse/keyboard combo.. won't let you down :)
