So, I got into a fight in school... wtf.

How ridiculous. I was minding my own business when this guy walks up to me and says, "Move, I wanna sit here." I knew this guy. I hated him, but I never made anything of it. I told him, "No, sit over there. It's right across from me." So he starts getting physical. First he slaps my shoulder. It was just a slap, I didn't really care. Then he slaps me again. I looked at him, and then he grabs my neck with one hand and starts choking me. So, now I get the hint that he wants to start something. At this point, I couldn't ignore him anymore and I hit his face, put him in a headlock, and brought him to the ground. He was at my mercy now, and I hit him about 6 times in several places on the head. But he started to cower, so, thinking I had done some serious harm, I got off him and left him alone. I was pretty sure he was finished, but he got up and said, "<insert explicit 4-letter word here> you". He knew I was unprepared, and just as I open my mouth to say something, he throws a cheap shot and hits me in the eye, catching me off guard. Now I was prepared. I had the meanest look I think I've ever had and he started backing away. He's telling everyone he "kicked my ass" because he managed to make my eye swell. I got 6 hits on him and he hit me once. Keep in mind, while I was on him, I could've beat him senseless. Now I'm having trouble explaining this to the school, my parents, and his parents.

I'm confused, was I justified in hitting him as he was choking me? Or could things have happened another way? I really had no reason to leave my seat as their was another one not too far away, and he basically tried to bully me out of my seat. What the hell -_-
What you've done is self-defense. You should no have shame facing the authorities about this, esp. if you have choke marks on your neck. That is a case of assault, and can even go to the police. Choking and eye hits are not only clear cases of harm, they're cheaps shots in the school fight.
In other words, bring that mothaf***a down with authoritas!

I've always wanted to do Self defence but never had the guts, what happens in the first few lessons? I might start next year....I need the confidence :)

My first fight this guy thinks hes uber hard comes up puts me in an arm lock. Then I do something im not to proud of to get out

He then goes psyco and starts comign at me tring to bite me. HE was thinner and smalleer than me (I wasnt fat). So I just said, stop or I'll hurt you. THen my freind comes along (whos a girl) and says, "Matthew what are you doing?". He punces HER in the face.

Well after that, you gotta go at him. So I kicked and hit him a few times and he cried ;). I was 13 at the time.

In my first fight, this guy came and kicked me. so, after trading punchs, i threw a fire extinguisher at him.

now, nobody ever trys to pick a fight with me anymore....

Wow people are loons.

I always avoided confrontation, mainly because I find other people's affairs tiresome and ridiculous.
If someone confronted me, I would just say something along the lines of "Are you sure you want to do this, because I'd better call for your ambulance now"
that made them back off.

I think I did fight someone when I was 8 years old and I did a karate chop (haha, that's what I called it anyway) and he was floored.

Continue to punch him in the head as hard as you can until his body goes limp.

that would be kinda bad...

what if he died or something?

What if you died from him attacking you?
If he is attacking you then it is natural to remove the threat.
Making him go unconcious or dying removes that threat as he is imobalized.
If he dosn't want to have the risk of having brain damage or death then he shouldn't pick a fight for no reason.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SHIT OOOOOOOOH SHIT.................. PW3D

You did well, more or less as is expected if he tries to choke you. Just claim you found it hard to breath (irregardless of whether you could or not..) and it made you panic and you reacted more than decided to beat the crap outa him.

Oh and I wouldnt worry if he starts spreading stuff about how he beat you, partly because it just shows he has something to prove... and you do not. And partly because if were any witnesses then he will just make himself look like a idiot. :)

Oh and yes, do muay thai :p Its great.

You'll be a better fighter after the first lesson or two, can't say that about many martial arts i've done. Ju jit su is also good if you train it for a long time especially in unison with something as brutally simple as muay thai. :)

I nearly got into a fight today actually, theres a certain bastard thats knocked me out before and stamped on my head repeatedly while i was blind drunk and unable to defend myself.... and for the past week he has been saying stuff to me again. I fear it will be me who starts fight this time lol...

ya you were justified, he cant get away with what he did. it was very honorable of you to get off of him when you thought you were hurting him, but i think you learned a valuable lesson: people like him dont deserve any mercy. personally i think the whole situation didnt need to result in violence, sounds like he was looking for a fight. but hey, boys will be boys, everyone gets into a fight at one time or another, nowadays parents, teachers etc make too big a deal of those things.

No courts make too big of a deal out of them now. :|

ya, but who brings it to court? assclown yuppie parents who dont want their kids playing dodgeball :dozey: because when they were in school they sucked at it and got welts. its freaking pathetic how much kids now (and im only 19 but ive seen the changes) are babied

Well, he basicly did assault you. Though you possibly could have somehow detached yourself from the stranglehold, and then just asked him what the hell he was doing. But seems like this guy was some violent bastard, if I were in your shoes, I would have come to do te same thing (Though I would probably get my ass kicked lol)

I say, call his parents and tell them to raise their ****ing kid decent. Tell them that they've somehow been able to create 1 of the biggest assholes you ever came across.

what to do in this situation:

Stand up, pick up the chair, work the dudes face with the chair, laugh

*Reads first few posts and decides on what to type for hers*

Yes, you did the right thing. It's called "self-defense", and last I checked, there's nothing wrong with it. You may have done something I would never do (well, I did it once), but you were right in your decision.

Why the hell should you get slapped around by someone who thinks he's "big 'n' bad" when really he's a scared little child on the inside? He just bullies on others 'cause he was likely bullied himself and only thinks it right. e.e

Problem with fights in school is its all about the looks. I mean, you could beat the crap out of him and give him bruises all over, but people may never see that. If you bust them in the nose or lip or something, in the eyes of most people in school thats much "harder". You could beat the crap out of someone, but if they jabbed you in the eye and your eyes watered, THATS what everyone would concentrate on.
Always about the looks. ;)
But good on you for hitting him, its the only way shits like that learn.

Aye but apply that rule to all martial arts.

I believe in the principle that pretty much all styles are very good in their own way.... so long as you find a place that teaches it properly.

Turns out the police stepped in. I did no physical harm and left no visible marks, so it looks like I'm clear. He's in for it. I have 5 witnesses on my side as well. :monkee:

XD Well, I guess that turned out better than expected, hm?

You had no choice. He punched you. He started it. You were acting in self-defense.
It's like a robber coming into your house. He has a knife, and he stabs you. Now what are you going to do? A) Risk getting charged for murder/assault by beating the shit out of this guy B) Keep getting stabbed and feel sorry for ever not doing A.
I would definitely fight if they hit me. I would have a reason. I don't understand when people say just to not hit back. If someone is ****ing punching you, what are you supposed to do, say, "You missed a spot."?!

If I am you I would throw him out the window and then escape via my portable teleporter

But you're not him... he likely doesn't have a teleporter like you do.

Those are the kids that think they are the toughest.... kid these days.

And... uh.. pi. *Runs*

You did the right thing, at least you were justified in waht you did.
Two years i think(Year 10, now im in College) i was on the coach back from school as usual with my mates, i was in the seats in front of the back row. Anyway there was this kid a year or two below me that had always been to big for his boots and on this particular day he was pissing me off just nattering away about jack shit so i turned around and said "Your mum is safe", five minutes later he says "How'd you know my mum?" all chav stylie then he grabbed the curtain by the coach windows and wrapped it around my head, one of my mates says "Take none of it Ev!" i got up, turned around and started cohcking this kid for about 30 seconds giving him a couple of digs in the ribs, he got off the next stop asking me for a fight, i told him to f off of course. Luckily for me no teachers were involved so it was all good

If you can stand there and take the punches and say "You missed a spot." without flinching....They won't **** with you again.
Of course I dont suggest this. :p

So... uh... how did it turn out?

He got arrested and charged with battery. I got to enjoy a week of sympathy from all kinds of people at school.

That's it I guess.
